Preface

Creativity is an exciting journey that takes us to a beautiful unknown world and one has to be brave to recognize and follow those paths. Along the way, we experience disappointment and joy, but the most beautiful part of the journey is meeting people, exchanging ideas and sharing experiences.

Karen and I met sharing a similar path in the shape of a petal. Our love towards flowers united us. My flowers are made of sugar and Karen’s are created from nature. It was an instant bond when we met and she taught me to create my very first, fresh flower arrangement. For me that was an exciting experience, having only known how to play with my sugar creations.

A new door opened for me, I fell in love with colour, shapes and most of all, have enjoyed learning the subtle messages flowers bring to us. How a simple Daisy can make us smile even when we don’t feel like smiling and how a Rosebud can make our hearts tremble with love. Flowers have so many different meanings.

Any creation we come across, tells us so much about the creator and it’s the same with Karen’s arrangements. They show her sumptuous talent, her lovely personality and most of all her readiness to give and share her love and passion.  

I’m already excited and can’t wait to get a print of the book. It will definitely be on my shelf along with my beloved Sugar Flower books.
