Jan Walton
Janice (Brodecky) Walton is an American author of inspirational short stories. Born in Columbus, Nebraska, she spent her childhood on a farm near Howells. Jan graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a minor in Psychology and English. She taught “special needs” children in the public schools for nine years. In the years that followed, she was a realtor and the new business marketing coordinator for two prominent insurance agencies in Lincoln. Writing has always been her passion. Jan has had poetry published and won awards for her manuscripts and stories. Her personal interests include gardening, piano, reading, travel and spending time with family and friends. Her husband, Jerry, their three children: Nicky (Mark), Dayne (Courtney), and Marcus, and their twelve grandchildren: Sebastian, Silas, Abraham, Apollos, Joslyn, Boaz, Dreyton, Landon, Phoebe, Meshach, Maddock and Hudson are at the heart of her life.
