Awestruck by Glory - Jennifer Guetta

Endorsements

Jennifer and Eliahu’s story is proof that there is a deadly demonic world—but it also proves that through the blood of the ultimate Passover Lamb, we can overcome the power of the enemy. As Jews, Jennifer and her husband discovered that Yeshua fulfilled all prophecies and was the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. The power of the enemy is no match for the power of Yeshua—Jesus. This story would make a powerful movie.

Jennifer has written an astounding story that demonstrates the power of Messiah Yeshua to rescue and to free people today. I was riveted as I read what happened to her and her husband. It proves that God can touch anyone, and still shows Himself to people. The book is easy to read, well written, flows well and is hard to put down once one starts reading it. I highly recommend it!

In a day and age where more and more people are longing for spiritual experiences, Jennifer opens our eyes to the fact that these experiences are very real, but not all of them are from God. Jesus, the Messiah, is the door and all true experience and revelation must point us to Him. Jennifer’s own conversion story reads like a Frank Peretti novel and I couldn’t put it down. Each chapter filled me with a sense of awe and wonder about God’s goodness. He continues to reveal Himself as the Messiah who saves and sets free those who are bound.

Foreword

This is the most amazing time to be alive. We are about to see the Shekinah glory of God invade our planet.

This is also the time to favor Zion. Jewish people will finally think for themselves about who Yeshua (Jesus) is.

The first followers of Yeshua were Jews. They were chosen by God to be a light to the Gentiles.¹ We did a good job, and as a result there are millions of Gentiles today that know the Messiah and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I believe that just before the Messiah returns, God will raise up Jews to finish the job the Jewish people were created to do. Our destiny is to make God known.

His glory is about to be poured out onto the earth, according to Joel 2:28. It is promised to the Jewish people first. Why? Because the Jews once more will be a light to the Gentiles.

Many Jewish people like the Guetta family are having dreams and visions of Yeshua, calling them to usher in the final harvest.

I so relate to Jennifer Guetta because, like her, I was into what the Torah calls forbidden areas.² God actually calls these areas an abomination. As a result, I was inhabited by a demon―much like the experience described in the book The Exorcist. At that time there were no Jews or Christians who knew how to help me get free. So our Messiah Himself set me free.

Many Jewish people are delving into these forbidden areas through Kabbalah. In recent years, Kabbalah has merged with teachings from Hinduism, causing an even greater minefield of demonic possession. But what you read in this true story, Awestruck by Glory, will make you knowledgeable of the reality of the demons attached to Kabbalah and many other areas.

The good news is that the freedom and experiential knowledge that I have and that the Guettas have is waiting for you. So many young Jews and Gentiles are about to have their own experiential knowledge of Yeshua. Great things are awaiting you! After walking with the Messiah for more than forty years, I can say it gets better every day.

It is no accident you are reading this book. If a Jewish person has crossed your path, that is not an accident. God wants your love to show them the way to Messiah.

Prologue

Let the redeemed of the

Lord

tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.

– Psalm 107:2, NIV

Lord, I know You are there, but I want to see You, too. I’m not afraid, I cried out loud, one month before Passover 2014. With tears brimming in my eyes, I clenched my fists and called out into the empty space in front of me.

The next night, on a Friday night Shabbat, I had a dream around midnight and felt warm air all around me. A being sat at the end of my bed, clothed in white flowing robes. Though He radiated light, there was something very human about Him. A silent reverence came over me. The atmosphere was thick with love. I blinked, still half-asleep, and noticed His curly brown hair. Somewhere deep down, I recognized His character. His face was a blur, but looked somewhat Israeli. He reached toward me and with the tip of His finger He anointed my forehead. Then He gave me two white envelopes―He wanted me to send these. I had no idea who they were for or what they contained. He whispered, and I heard His words in my heart. He taught my spirit about the Kingdom of Heaven and said He wanted me to write about it. I woke up dazed, wondering whether this had been real, or just a dream.

Three weeks later, five days before Passover, I had another dream and clearly heard the words, This is My Son, in whom I am well pleased.³

I prayed out loud and asked the Lord what He wanted me to do with these words. And I heard Him say, Make straight the way of the Lord.

I had never heard this sentence before. Trembling, I asked, Lord, what do You mean by ‘Make straight?’

Then I heard one word reverberating in the air, Speak.

My heart started pounding and a sense of wonder came over me. But Lord, I am just a new believer, a baby. Who am I to speak to Your children, who have known You for so long?

Speak, do not be afraid. And look in Jeremiah 1.

I woke up in the morning feeling a little bewildered. Then I remembered that He told me to read Jeremiah 1. I had never read it before and wondered what it said. Quickly, I grabbed my Bible. As the written words reached into my heart, I felt a sense of awe come over me.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Then said I, "Ah, L

ord

God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth. But the LORD said to me, Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth."

–Jeremiah 1:5-9, NKJV

I could barely breathe. It was almost the same conversation I had had with him in the night!

The message was clear, Speak and write about the Kingdom of Heaven, make straight the way of the Lord, and do not be afraid of people’s response.

Survivors

I’d never thought I’d live to speak up. You see, my husband and I, we are survivors. Survivors of Kabbalah and of terrible attacks of witchcraft. We nearly lost our bodies and souls. We were attacked by Jezebel when we did not know she existed. The truth is we were not supposed to be alive to tell about what happened. There is only one reason we survived: Yeshua rescued us.

There was a time when I was too afraid to put even one word on paper. In those days fear gripped my entire being. Do not write about me! the devil said. But God wanted me to write, Write. Do not be afraid. Expose them! He said.

I answered, I will, Lord.

Crossing the Threshold

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

– 1 Peter 5:8

The sun was shining unusually bright on the flat Dutch countryside and the windmills were turning in the wind. It was September 11th 2012. My husband, Elijah, and I were driving to a lecture I was giving in the city of Leeuwarden that evening. I was feeling elated because I had just finished the manuscript of my third children’s book, about the secret location of the Ark of the Covenant underneath the Temple of Solomon.

En route, I took a picture of a road sign saying Leeuwarden 10 kilometer and posted it on Facebook. I laughed at the sign, because my book was called The Mystery of the Lion Throne and we were almost in Leeuwarden, which sounded remarkably like Lion’s den. I did not know how close by darkness was lurking. I never thought that the evil we read about in stories is just a shadow of the real thing. I definitely did not believe it had its own consciousness. But not believing in something doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

We arrived a few hours early. Elijah and I decided to get a bite to eat along the main canal. On the way back to the conference hall we got talking to a tall, blonde woman. She pointed us to a somewhat slanted tower, which was standing over the city.

Elijah gazed at the tower and then indicated to the square where we were standing and asked, How come there is so much space here?

This square was built on top of an old graveyard, she said. Nothing can be built here, because underneath the stones you are standing on are ancient graves. You don’t see them, but they are there.

My husband’s face contorted and we quickly left. As we waved her goodbye, Elijah told me his heart had pounded while talking to her; her words had filled him with a sense of foreboding.

We entered the conference hall and started setting up my slide show. I was lecturing about the archaeology of the symbol of the tree of life, which has been found in cultures all around the world. Like many other archaeologists, I associated the symbol with the sacred feminine, and the Hebrew goddess Asherah.

While I was setting up, Elijah was talking with the guests. With a broad smile, he explained he was Israeli and had moved to the Netherlands thirty years ago. A gentleman then came up to him and informed him there was a lady who would like to speak to him in the library, the room adjacent. Elijah walked over there and saw, from behind, someone sitting by the computer. She wore her hair down. It was long, wavy and raven black. For no apparent reason, Elijah turned around and said to the man, I want nothing to do with her.

He hastened to the lecture room and sat down at the back. The woman slid into the chair beside him. She chuckled and said the magic words catching my husband off guard, "I am Lily,⁵ the great-granddaughter of the Baba Sali."

Elijah froze. The Baba Sali was a leading Moroccan Sephardic rabbi and Kabbalist who was known for his miracle-working abilities. He came from a family of three famous rabbis whose faces are on posters all over Israel. His tomb is in Netivot, in the south of Israel, and hundreds of Sephardic Jews visit it every year. Elijah’s mom visited the Baba Sali’s grave every year to pray for her family. To Elijah, it was like meeting royalty.

Hands trembling, Elijah grabbed his wallet and showed her the pictures of her great-grandfather, which his mother had given him for good luck, safety and blessings. Then he asked, What is someone like you doing here in Leeuwarden?

She tossed her hair back and said, I am here for Jennifer’s book.

Elijah’s jaw dropped and he quickly waved me over.

She was all smiles as I shook hands with her. We struck up a conversation. She had an American accent, and I told her how I had also lived in the USA for eight years. She knew a lady from New York we had met about ten years previously. We discovered several mutual acquaintances and before we knew it, she felt like an old friend.

I ended my lecture with a slide of the cross as the symbol of the tree of life. The tree of life symbolizes the place between heaven and earth, and the cycle of nature through death and resurrection. In Christianity, Jesus is thought to be the tree of life, since He is resurrected from the dead and is the place between heaven and earth. I didn’t believe that was true, though. As far as I was concerned, Christianity was just copying earlier religions.

After the lecture, Lily mentioned she was staying with her cousin in Leeuwarden, but would soon be leaving. She wanted to tell us about a special technology that her teacher, a lady from New York, had developed. It had to do with the secret of all of humankind, hidden in Hebrew letters. My husband and I used to work for a company that promoted trade between Israel and the Netherlands and promoted technologies, so naturally, we were interested. She also told us she knew all of her great-grandfather’s secrets and would love to tell us more. We exchanged telephone numbers.

When we walked out together, two young children came up to her. She told me they were her twins. Their eyes radiated innocence. As we walked out, they started chattering uncontrollably, climbing over fences and jumping over the small pillars on the street, like young birds out of a nest for the first time.

The Invitation

During the next week, I talked to Lily on the phone several times. I discovered she didn’t have a proper place to spend the coming Jewish holidays. It felt strange that someone like her would have nowhere to go at such a time. She told us she wanted to stay away from the center of the Jewish community, because they crowded in on her. We asked her and her children to come over for two nights on Rosh ha Shana. After all, it is a Jewish mitzvah⁶ to invite people for the holidays and we were excited to get to know her because of her background.

A week later, Elijah picked them up from the train station. The light of the new moon was not yet visible; the night sky was pitch black. Lily and her children came up to our porch giggling and chattering. I waved at them through the window and noticed that the kids eyed our house with a great smile. Lily put her arms around them, like a mother hen escorting them to the door. But before stepping over the threshold she looked at us and asked explicitly, Do we have permission to be here?

What a strange question! We had invited her and even picked her up. Why would she ask such a thing? Naively, we said Yes, and shrugged away all doubt. The battle for our souls had begun.

The three of them entered our hallway and gave us enthusiastic hugs, as if we had known each other for years.

What a beautiful house you have, Lily said.

The children barged into the living room, eyeing our furniture as if they were exploring a new den to live in. Then they hugged us again and we climbed the two stairs to the guest room to show them where they would sleep. The children jumped for joy when they saw their room and our two cats and small dog.

When we returned to the living room, Lily presented me with a special gift, a beautiful white Shabbat tablecloth. I had always wanted one just like it and briefly wondered: How did she know?

The children also gave us presents: little origami figures they had made. These were truly incredible works of art, especially considering they were so young.

We then sang the holiday songs, and sat down at the table to celebrate the new year. We are so honored that someone with your background would come and stay with us for Rosh ha Shana, I said. Please tell us more about your family.

She explained that she was Queen Esther’s direct descendant, that her children were the heirs of Israel’s most influential family and that she wanted to teach us her family’s secret knowledge.

I glanced at my husband and saw that he looked stunned.

Wait till I tell my family about this! he exclaimed.

Her eyes narrowed. Yes, just wait and see what will happen, she said.

We had a wonderful Rosh ha Shana dinner; it was all love and light. I told Lily that I had studied the Bible and theology for many years and as a young student I had become involved in the Megiddo excavations. Though I believed in science and the interpretation of archaeological artefacts, I had to admit there was something more out there, which I didn’t understand. We wanted to learn more about God, and were inspired by Kabbalah.

She said, I believe God is a force connecting us all. It’s just that He is in the seventh heaven and it is difficult to reach Him.

I responded, And how about evil?

Evil doesn’t exist, only negativity, she replied with authority. I did not question her, and at once, I stopped being negative in any way.

It is all about love and acceptance, she said. Negativity is society’s main problem.

We asked about the children’s school and she explained that they were homeschooled and were learning Torah, sacred geometry and magic. It all sounded intriguing.

After dinner my husband asked her, What exactly are you doing in the Netherlands?

She looked up and said, I am looking for a group of scientists, businesspeople and politicians who could help promote the new technology my teacher has discovered. Do you know people who can help us?

Elijah and I exchanged glances and then he said, What technology has your teacher found?

"It is based
