Soul: The Human Experience
()
About this ebook
Soulful moments come when we fully experience our humanity. These moments are defined differently because of our environments, cultures and choices. Even so, we all feel love, pain, sorrow, longing and perhaps a shift toward a collective consciousness.
Melinda Campbells life has been a testimonial for diversity. Her books messages are clear: Be yourself. Continue to grow. Embrace fears, experience the pain, and push through to the other side, because in that moment you will have choices with infinite possibilities. She would like you to feel these commonalities through her prose, poetry and song. Enjoy "SouL" and learn.

BIOGRAPHY I was seven years old when I lived in Turkey and my Dad gifted our family with a cruise to the Holy Lands. Thats when I became aware of my spiritual journey. Not because someone was telling me how I should believe, but from a source that flowed through me while I walked the same stones Jesus himself walked. I remember stopping and touching the stone walls with my hands and looking upward at the archway engraved with Jesus carrying his cross. I knew I was not here by mistake and I knew I was not traveling alone. I felt awareness, a reality shift that be-came part of my foundation. My Dad was in the Military which allowed our family to travel. Our travels included Germany, Turkey and several states. This lifestyle taught me about various cultures and the beauty of diversity. All of these gifts were given to me by age 13. When I was thirteen years old my world was turned upside down. I was about to learn the most valuable lessons of my life: compassion, understanding, tolerance, endurance, patience, forgiveness and unconditional love. All of these seeds are forever growing as life challenges me. From traveling to beautiful lands to sleeping in cars because I had no home, I have lived a life of multi-level experiences, all while I was aware of a greater purpose. I have watched, I have cried, I have made mistakes, I have stayed within sight of my true passions: poetry and prose.

CREDITS
As I breathe, life has naturally been a beautifully etched window, open to release and follow each colorful stepping stone to a waterfall’s rainbow of possibilities.
My poems are my personal experiences, some dreams gifted, and some poems are my perception through the eyes and hearts of others. All the poems are a blend of life, love, longing, pain and death. My poems are a personal search for truths and the passions of life, holding no secrets. Layers of my soul peeled, even when it’s uncomfortable. Revealed for hearts to intertwine and dance with validation that it’s okay to explore every depth of your soul.
No religion, no faith, no judgments should ever enslave our true selves. Fear is not of God; it’s one of life’s largest challenges to overcome.
My soul has lived in fear, an invisible force, a wet heavy coat that I am, at long last, removing. The fear was not placed there by God. It became part of me by circumstances, teachings, choices and abuse—none of which have defined me. My castle’s foundation is not yet finished; it towers beyond the clouds, in a place where we are all awake.
