Acknowledgments
This book is an inspiration of my life and is dedicated to my four children, LaVonya, Bernard Jr., Siobhan and Michael-Jaison, my brother June, my eight grandchildren, my late parents, the great Minnie L. and Orange B. Morgan and my two Godsons—Tashon and Sincere. I truly believe that nothing in life happens by chance and that no one encountered on life’s path is met accidentally. Everyone that I have met is a part of me and has been interwoven into the fabric of my life. I would like to thank each and every one of you for the role you’ve played along the way.
A special thanks to all the people I’ve encountered in my life—family, God Family, friends and others who have encouraged me to pursue my thoughts and bind them together to share with the universe. Thanks to my oldest grandchild, Destiny, an aspiring law student, for inspiring me to write my thoughts down on paper. To my BFFs, Lee-Sa and Joyce, my Godsis, Matt, my cousin Lynn—thanks for being true friends by falling back when I needed solace and being present when I needed an ear, all without ever a complaint of neglect. Heh, Shee-la! Thanks to the divine spirit of all those who have preceded me into the next life—my dear Godbrother, Benji, my niece Tyesha, nephew Randy, cousins Jimmy and Mae and sister n’ law, Niecey and others, you are constantly in my heart and in my thoughts . . . Rest, Peace, Love . . .
The ultimate dedication unquestionably and justifiably goes to The Creator, by whatever personal name he is known to each of us. I ask his continued blessing that I be allowed to continue sharing my creative efforts and to continue receiving inspiration from my family and friends.
Finally, to my colleagues I’ve met in various occupations along the way
(My girls—Chris, Steph (business partner), Neen (my daughter-at-work)), Conrad, Petey-Pete, Pat Smitty, Shani and all of the Cobbs Creek Crew, Yup, Dee I made it up! To my LTI students and friends—Sky Scraper, Ziggy, R.P. and for all the late night laughs . . . thanks ‘Roger That’!!(LOL) . . . to name a few . . . Thanks for all the support and
