Mrs. Dorothy Bell Lucas is a retired educator. Throughout her devoted challenging career, she has held many distinguished professional and volunteer positions. Two of those distinguished honors include Hattiesburg District Teacher of the Year and the title Whos Who in Black Mississippi. Mrs. Lucas enjoyed helping elementary students develop inquiring minds, tackling challenges and striving to become successful learners. She received her degrees from Jackson State University. She is married, has two children and resides in Mississippi.

Our Forefathers learned very early that to survive in unknown territories, they must become faithful believers in God Almighty and pray without ceasing. So, thank goodness for them, their beliefs in prayers and their accomplishments throughout the history of the world. Their commitments to prayer and living the life of persistent, faithful prayer warriors made them very successful.

Their foresights truly paved avenues for our moral values, patience, successful careers, inspirations, technology and many inventions society uses very proudly, today. They knew, even at the beginning of civilization that God controlled this universe, and that the sincerity of one’s prayers, really promoted answers from God.

Prayer during those multi-faceted days were considered the only true sources of inner peace, happiness and strength. Therefore, families and friends passed on the legacy of prayer to future generations, and
