FOREWORD

As I start to write this story on July 4th of 2009 I am enduring insanity, have a will of iron, am determined to beat it. This will be written from my soul. Every word will be the truth. You will know that I am not a writer but my story must be told.

I am a primitive person, do not own a computer, cell phone or a credit card. This is being handwritten in block print so that it is legible. My once beautiful handwriting has deteriorated.

Paul and Vickie Ott, my daughter and son-in-law, who live in Simi Valley, California have built an eclectically luxurious granny efficiency suite. Everyone who sees it wants to come back with their suitcases. It is both beautiful and comfortable. Mornings I can have coffee and breakfast while watching birds and hummingbirds at the large fountain outside my sliding doors.

Had it not been for them and my granddaughter, Jenny, I would be at best in a rest home.

There is no way I could ever repay them. Jenny had me stay in her mobile home for nine months while waiting for my suite to be built.

When I was a mere child, I had a vision of an indescribably gigantic red fire in a great distance. In dream interpretation fire means a fresh start. I think that time is now.

Please forgive me for any confusion in my writing. Insanity has a deathlike grip on me. I intend to overcome it. 1994, 1999, and 2008 are all important and may be a little out of order.

Today Paul and I are the only ones home. Paul is nursing an injured shoulder. I wanted to start writing.

Vickie, my three grandchildren and four of my great grandchildren are enroute to a wedding in Redondo Beach, down the coast of California. They will be gone until late tonight.

I have a goal of two or three paragraphs a day. Because I want the world to know what it is like to be demented, there will be no editing. For ten years I have been a victim of echolalia, a chemical imbalance in the brain that can be brought
