    Unexpected phone calls sometimes turn out to be momentous, and lead to unforeseen friendships and thrilling experiences… . Such was the phone call that day from well-known Malayalam writer and author Dr. Vilakkudi Rajendran, one of my long-standing friends with whom I have never had an unimpeachable rapport: he spoke to me about a young lecturer of Government Higher Secondary School, Venjaramood, Trivandrum, Ms.B.K. Sudha Nedunganoor, who has already to her credit a collection of Malayalam poems Nilaappakshi, and who has published a few English poems in journals of repute. Dr. Vilakkudi requested me to read a few of her unpublished English poems and offer my comments.
