The Other Pulpit: Life Lessons of a Leader!
()
About this ebook
We were unable to be raised in the same home or be acknowledged by society or the church at large.
We were left behind without the means, perhaps only to survive.
All of us saw great cathedrals, and dynasties were created for their first families and other favored cliques. We were outcast as spiritual lepers and left for dead, recipients of only partial love and attention. We received only what were considered the scraps off the table.
We are like casualties of war; we were left for dead.
Pastor Steve L. Turner
The author has been in music training since age four. He has been playing music for over forty years. He has been a minister of music for thirty-three years. He has promoted gospel music concerts for sixteen years. He believes that gospel music should go beyond the church walls and has taken it to corporate America.

H i, I am Pastor Walter A. Simms, a friend and brother in the Lord to Pastor Steve Turner. I first met Pastor Turner several years ago thru my older sister who he managed and coached in a musical group of three women called, The Voices. In 2006 I started working with my bishop and learning to take over duties at my home church, which included planning church services and events. I started to call on Steve to help provide the music at many of our important services and fundraisers. He has been a tremendous help in times when we needed a musician to fill in right away. He is a constant professional who gives more than music when he is working for the Lord, he gives himself, and you can feel his commitment in every song he sings.
Pastor Turner started teaching two of the young teenagers at my church to play the keyboard and they have been growing in their knowledge of music. My hope is that they will not only keep playing to the glory
