About this ebook

One man goes on a quest to find his lost love facing not only the gods themselves but also humanity and the forces of nature. In a spiritual adventure the man inspires not only the gods but also the people of the earth to save the world from global warming, war, famine, disease, and abuse. Together the gods and mankind join hands to call forth the evils of the world back into Pandora’s box, which was once released into the world by the mighty Zeus because Prometheus stole fire from Mount Olympus and gave it to man.
I wish not to overwhelm the readers by stretching their consciousness beyond the boundaries of their own reason. But for you to gain the most out of your reading experience of The Fallows, you must know that I have worked hard to speak to its readers on three different intellectual levels. And I hope that you will enjoy this book, for in truth I cried tears with every line of poetry that was written, and it’s no lie: The Fallows was truly a remarkably healing experience for me as I hope that it will be as much a healing experience for you.
The first intellectual level in which The Fallows speaks is primarily a poetic story. It is a tale about a man who was born into the world without knowing his true family, and after his quest to find them, he comes home to find he has lost the only woman that he loves. In metaphorical language, the man goes into the forest to call upon the birds of the air for love, symbolically representing humanity as John the Baptist in the Bible was once weeping in the wilderness. In the forest he is met by the great phoenix, and he is sent out on a quest to save the earth, and if he accomplishes the phoenix’s quest, the birds of the air will gather to find his love. Left alone and hungry after the phoenix and his kin fly away, the man eats a poisonous flower and perishes, representing the fall of humanity, as Adam and Eve once ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, bringing death and sin into the world. From this point on of this great story, you are left on your own to discover The Fallows; it is a great story about man’s love for woman and woman’s love for man and the love they have for their child and the gods, but most importantly it is about their love for the earth. I do not wish to ruin the rest of the story before you have had the chance to read it yourself, so I will not reveal any more of its major themes.
The second intellectual level in which the book speaks is found in the allegorical messages written in the poem that are in reference to my walk across America for love, inspiring the people of the world to unite their strengths, hearts, and resources to heal the earth, which provides for us all. When the sunset rises in New York from the east, early in the morning I will fill a jar with water from the Atlantic Ocean to be carried across America in my backpack to be dumped into the Pacific Ocean in California exactly while the sun is setting over the west. The jar poetically represents Pandora’s box of evils that have been released into the world. What most people don’t know is that it was not Pandora’s box at all which was opened but a jar that was opened because of her curiosity. Thus Pandora’s jar is what was opened to release the evils into the world; the only spiritual force left in the jar was hope. The ancient poems written about Pandora in the past speak of a clay jar that was opened, not a box. Pandora’s box does sound better than Pandora’ jar, but in all actuality there is still a debate over the issue because there are also references to a box. Which one is the truth, we unfortunately may never know. I am walking across America for love and for all lovers that ever were and for all lovers that will ever be to add more emotional charge to the words of love in this poem for all times dedicated to lovers forever and eternal. Because actions will forever speak louder than words.
I have read that great writers in the past would go on walks through the e

    The Phoenix’s Quest

Touching the depths of our most inner parts,

Nourishing the heart of our most vital lands.

    CHAPTER 1

    53303.png

    The Man’s Lost Love

O that birds would gather for love,

To sing its triumphs truly made!

As storm clouds gather in heaven’s sky,

    To cover humankind in shade!

For I can no longer take earth’s sin,

    Suffering desire’s disease!

    Thieves’, murderers’, adulterers’ bin,

The sting of death to honeybees!

For inside my heart is dying!

    Perishing and always trying!

    With tears inside always crying!

    Wishing to understand love’s ways!

For love torn, stole many days!

Ravishing the book of my soul!

Pierced by the thief’s poisonous dart!

Left to wonder no longer whole!

But I aim to find my love!

That my heart may rejoice again!

As the returning of the dove!

During the flood on Noah’s hand!

For love to breed new beginnings!

And my eyes see love’s true light!

    Its warmth bearing all tenderness!

To this do not all true men and women fight?

But poison’s dart grows so cold!

I can sense madness upon me!

The raging waves of the oceans!

The tempests of the unholy seas!

    For emptiness is love’s dwelling!

And nothing lies in my heart’s chest!

But hope that I may find my love!

She whom my soul does love best!

For there is no reason to live!

But to hold our loves within our hands!

And to work in the lands that give!

The fruits of the labor of our hands!

    To mount beautiful memories!

Upon a pure white holy steed!

    Lovers holding on together!

Facing the world’s troubles, full speed!

But where has my love gone?

    Once a treasured mountaintop view!

Stolen by a thief in the night!

    Heart broken into pieces few!

    Innocence, softness turned to stone!

    Sealing me away from beauty!

    Encasing me in silent tone!

From the world of dreams and duty!

For there is corruption on the earth!

    Raging in silent oceans deep!

Stealing the queen of my true love!

Where in this world may my soul keep!

For she has uncovered my skin!

And knows my soul with her eyes!

To those sacred fountains we have been!

Pledging to each other our lives!

But now into the night she goes!

By some mortal or godly thief!

Where she has gone, God only knows!

I have even called the police!

There is no answer in the night!

I call out her name in the air!

    Returning to me in silence!

The empty stillness of the air!

    Nevermore, creeps in Poe’s silence!

In rage I call out in violence!

    Sifting through the immortal mind!

That I, the thief, may truly find!

For she’s vanished into the night!

And I left knowing only love’s pain!

In tears grasp for all my might!

As my heart pours tears like rain!

If vengeance has eyes I them bare!

Truly I with sword have no care!

I will fight to the bitter end!

That my heart’s wounds may justice mend!

For love’s madness is upon me!

For within all my emotions stir!

Where in the world is love to be?

If I should slay this thief’s emperor!

For am I a weakened vessel?

To bring not the thief to his shame!

    Standing silently to forbear all!

    Dishonoring courage’s name!

No! I with vengeance flaming hot!

    Eyes dilated with fury!

Seek to find the thief of the night!

That I may end his love story!

For the madness is upon me!

Where has my lady love gone!

    The police cannot answer me!

They sing the same sad sorry song!

But what would vengeance bring to me?

Sacred love that I so cherished!

Would it be a true victory?

    Broken hearts to Hades perished!

Is not death on every corner!

School shootings and gang bang horror!

Am I the only one hurting?

    Wounds growing to our dishonor!

I saw a friend hang from a tree!

The sway of love’s lost miseries!

He did not even leave a note!

    Only beautiful memories!

My friend’s jeep rolled over so fast!

Beauties were always on our tung!

He breathed his last breath to the last!

O’ as brothers we shared our fun!

Will I give random shootings too!

    Suicide bombs unto glory!

Will I take lives unto the grave!

    Increasing pain’s true love story!

For love’s madness is upon me!

And my heart’s soul knows no rest!

For the potions of all emotions!

    Stir unending within my chest!

    For my love is gone!

The fading of my heart’s love song!

And I left alone to long!

Wonder who dealt me this wrong!

    CHAPTER 2

    53303.png

    Lamentations

    O, the Bermuda Triangle!

How many souls have been lost there!

Tossed to and fro amidst the waves!

Oh, how the oceans are not fair!

How many set out to sea?

And they get to make it back home!

But I’m stuck in the Bermuda!

Falling to my knees and death alone!

May the high heavens hear my cry!

For bitter vengeance shall I die!

For my soul shall never see rest!

Until I’m with her I love best!

But where she has gone I know not!

Has she died from some mortal foe?

The police cannot resolve the plot!

And I alone into the Bermuda go!

    Lost without any answers true!

Why! Oh why! Oh why, my love, you!

I left sinking into the blue!

With tears I cry for vengeance true!

If I was God I could fix it!

I could mend the wound very well!

I could sail safely through the seas!

    Healing the Bermudas of hell!

But I am not, though I wish to be!

To heal my heart’s internal misery!

The pain, the anger, and bitter history!

    The Iliad of victory!

That I may strike this bitter thief!

Who stole my life’s beauty away!

And throw my sword into the reef!

To hide the murders of the day!

Will I a hero truly be?

To hurt all those who did hurt me?

Will I be more of the true man?

To take this pain and set it free?

For my emotions hurt so sore!

Deeper than the deepest of wounds!

    Physical pain cannot compare!

To my heart’s eyes internal croons!

O, this thief I must truly find!

But I know not where to divine!

That I may find his hidden keep!

To give him death’s eternal sleep!

For I called upon God almighty!

But there were no answers for me!

Lead me unto whom my heart loves!

There I sat in silence, silently.

I left without a voice in the air!

    Sat with only silence within!

She is gone and it’s not fair!

And I alone was left in pain’s bin!

Who sits in the heaven’s skies?

God’s angels or the Olympian’s high?

Can they see the pain in my eyes?

Do they see how my eyes do cry?

Do they truly care about me?

To let these raging thieves run free!

What on earth has God done for me!

    But laugh upon my misery!

Or have I just happened by chance!

By some sperm the truly advanced!

Swimming through the waters of time!

For this crime upon my romance!

Was I born for some evil game?

    To take my love away!

    Love’s shining light in fame!

The glories of my heart’s shining ray!

Am I to seek nirvana still?

While the raging waters go on!

Am I to take some psychic pill?

To deal with my lady love gone!

Am I to let everything go?

And move on with my life story!

To forget about our true love!

And our youth and all its glory!

Am I to wait in silent prayer?

For God’s divine justice to come!

To let forgiveness on high reign!

And serve God completely as some!

Am I to be a broken pot?

A vessel to spring waters free!

    Humble before a mighty God!

For the high king has broken me!

    Am I a lost monkey?

    Stuck within earth’s gigantic cage!

Filled with the highest of emotions!

Feelings bouncing from love to rage!

Am I just some lowly man?

    Lost without any answers true!

O, I must find some sort of plan!

    To overcome, maybe break through!

Yet how shall I revenge this thief?

Who vexed my love, my youth, my soul?

To bring our love so much relief!

If I cannot locate his hole!

    For every moment passing by!

    My mind inside does horrify!

The pains that she must feel alone!

Woes that burn deeper than brimstone!

Hurts burning deep within her soul!

Moments that you cannot wipe away!

Times that you feel the world so cruel!

Feeling the love of your soul decay!

For she is so soft and so smooth!

    Beauty’s innocence magnified!

Her soul bearing all peace to soothe!

    Love’s oil truly glorified!

Her eyes were the fairies’ fountains!

Carrying the magic dust of love!

Moving my heart as the mountains!

    The spirit’s rainbow-colored dove!

    She enlightening my spirit true,

with my thoughts always upon her!

O, the things together we’d do!

After the day’s labors were through!

But now my labors of the day are grim!

Inside I fret in fear and cry!

What could the evils be she’s in?

Alone with the thief in the nigh!

Maybe she left me for not?

Without a note or tale to tell!

Yet all her things are still left at home!

Her scent; as a dog I can smell!

    As parents worry for child!

My worry is without an end!

My beloved lost in the wild!

Without her love there to defend!

How many parents have lost a child?

How many lovers have been scorned?

How many suicides have happened in the wild?

How many more deaths must be found?

Must I accept this fate dealt to me?

Must I bear this eternal pain?

The forest fires of my heart to be!

    Tempests raging with rain!

No! For I shall not stop until my love I see!

For there is someone I can call within the forests O’ so deep!

Those we once spoke with before the fall!

Those within Eden’s gardens sacred keep!

For I am at wit’s complete end!

In desperation there is only one place I can go!

For I have lost my closest friend!

And my heart is covered in winter’s snow!

I have called in the streets!

But no one can answer my call!

Nor know how my heart beats!

Nor how my spirit within does fall!

Leaving me with only one last desperate choice!

Within my heartfelt woes lies only one hope!

Into the forest I shall go with one voice!

Together with nature I shall elope!

To call unto the birds before their eyes!

Those that see the sights of the world around!

O’ I pray they will hear my love’s cries!

The words of my mouth hope’s every sound!

For I shall rage into the night!

And I shall walk into the day!

Into the forest I shall fight!

For my love I shall go all the way!

For peace to fall upon me as spring rain!

Giving birth to happiness, joy, and beauty!

Walking upon the path once called lover’s lane!

The joys of all chivalry and duty!

To bring my lady, my love, home!

To tend to her heart’s mortal wounds!

That runs within her blood and deep in her bones!

To comfort all her earthy croons!

O, that I may find my love again?

To break this stone for water to pour!

Completing my heart again and again!

From shining shore to shining shore!

For this adventure shall not end!

Until I’m with my love again!

As all poets in passion’s loves have penned!

Romantic passion’s adventures forever to defend!

For what other hope is there for me!

For there is no life without love!

For my spectacle the very gods shall see!

Before the earth below and above!

For I shall get lost in the wood!

As my love is lost in the wild!

That ye may hear love’s highest cry!

    Seeing emotion’s true love child!

For love one will do it all!

No matter what stands in the way!

No matter if one must break or fall!

If many upon the earth must lay!

For my madness will truly sway!

As the trees sway within a storm!

I shall move at night and at day!

Until heaven’s birds converge and swarm!

And I care not what anyone thinks!

For I am drunk on lover’s wine!

And I shall not eat nor shall I drink!

Until my sweet love I shall find!

    CHAPTER 3

    53303.png

    Into the Forest He Goes

Now I must say my goodbyes!

To the emptiness of my home!

My lover not there by my side!

Nor is she next to any phone!

But I with pictures of us true!

Look upon them with tears in my eyes!

With the words forever me and you!

    Written upon my internal skies!

I kiss our face upon the page!

    Within our album of love!

I strap upon my boots with rage!

To call upon the birds for love!

I will do whatever it takes!

For I shall not return alone!

Into the forest I will go!

To heal this poisoned heart of stone!

Before the forest I take this water and this bread my last!

Placing all its energy into my stomach vast!

To carry me unto the end and love surpass!

Until I’m with my love at last!

For truth I walk this path alone!

For love of mankind’s weeping stone!

Before the gods and sacred Olympus above!

I pray for strength and all love!

For if love was all for yourself!

    Love could never be!

There’d only be survival and health!

    No segregation or hateful thieves!

My travels shall be sore as my pain!

My sweat shall pour as the rain!

My beard shall not be cut for days!

    Walking within this forest’s maze!

Until I find a sweet, sweet clearing!

That peaceful bliss within the wood!

    That silent place without fearing!

Searching for love and all that’s good!

And once I find this sacred place!

I shall call to the birds of the sky!

That they may help me find my grace!

Before unto the dust I die!

For they have more power than me!

For the whole world they can truly see!

Once their eyes are brought together!

In peaceful bliss under the heavens that be!

For they shall see my heart so sore!

Tears unending pouring from my eyes!

For they shall see my internal war!

And they shall hear a loving heart’s cry!

All the forests with its sounds!

Will not compare to this voice of mine!

I shall hold all birds spellbound!

    Within this sacred forest shrine!

Words that echo for all time!

Within the mind of birds so true!

Words rousing as a special rhyme!

Mighty under the skies so blue!

For I shall not return from here until I find the answers true!

And most enchanting I must be under heaven’s blue!

That the birds of heaven may see my cries!

And come to heal this heart before it dies!

And I shall sit in silent seer!

    Meditating upon all I hear!

To learn from the forest’s sounds!

    Until the birds gather around!

For this path I shall carve my own!

As the greatest men of the past!

    Moving through the thickets overgrown!

To find a land, a place, for love at last!

But I seek not land or shelter!

Only a solace for beauty’s children to grow!

I seek only my love, only her!

From which all love on this earth grows!

O’ the treasured love of all loves!

A pirate’s chest worth more than diamonds and pearls!

Buried by some thieving pirate’s hate!

Somewhere within the heart of this world!

O’ I for you only aim to find!

That our love again can be so!

More than all the memories of my mind!

    Memories born that lovers sow!

For I shall love you as the sun, the sky!

Feeding our earth for us to grow!

For our love in time can never die!

Even if I have not a breath to blow!

    Darkness cannot wipe you away!

    Blinding light cannot erase thee!

In nothingness we still shall play!

    Within times immortal memories!

As sand is rough upon the skin!

This world has been rough upon our love!

But no matter how tough it’s been!

I shall shine before the heavens above!

For I shall seek thee, my beloved!

If it means taking my last breath!

If I must fight heaven’s angels!

The very gods I shall fight them unto the death!

    I, a man, a mortal may be!

    Seeking for love’s true victory!

Within the depths of the stormy seas!

The poisons of my heart’s internal chi!

I shall put madness to the test!

I shall give my raging soul no rest!

I shall fight with my dying breath!

From the emotions within my chest!

Do I go this path truly alone!

To find my lost love in the wild!

As a dog hollers through the hollow for his lost bone!

I’ll search the more for I’m a man child!

An intellect that burns with knowledge!

Knowledge that my beloved is gone!

    Stirring within my emotional collage!

    Eden’s memory, lakes of Avalon!

For I trudge this path for you, my love!

My sacred cherry, my virgin kisses!

For without your warmth next to me!

My heart shall sink into the abyss!

Visions and dreams will lose all their color!

Summers will be more painful than the winter!

Every day I live I will suffer!

O’ how I hate this mortal splinter!

My hunger does not compare with my heart’s pain!

    Not being nourished for days!

But for my love my strength shall not wane!

For my hope shines brighter than the day!

There will not be patience for me!

For time is too short for love to be!

That I should suffer this misery!

    Under the heaven’s blue canopy!

For I know I have lost my love because
