From Me to You: A Collection of My Poems to Intrigue and Inspire You
()
About this ebook
Everything in life has a reason .The reason I write poetry is that I am compelled to interpret the happenings around me . Whether it be the seemingly most insignificant , too painfull to think about or just too happy not to write it down .
The writing has gone for many years , but the sharing is just starting .
I now feel I would like to share my poems with whomever would happen to discover them . No longer by invitation only .
I open my heart to you and hope you can feel like I feel when I put pen to paper . Dont be afraid . Use your imagination and savour every line .
From me to you .
Dianna Petrie
I was fortunate to have very creative parents who always encouraged us to see the world the way we see it. Growing up in the sixties was very energizing to say the least. Always the threat of nuclear disaster , the rigid way of thinking , the narrow mindedness of most people , the music , the fun , the not so fun , the just being a teenager provided lots of inspiration for poetry. This little collection starts with my teen years , goes to a quiet place for many decades , and reappears when we move to the lake . I am a mother and grandmother with a wonderful husband and two dogs. So far life has been good , but I still look over my shoulder . Dianna Petrie
