Harris Jebreh Harris was born in Columbus, GA in 1978. Raised most of his life in Lithonia and Decatur, GA. Through many trials as a child, Jebreh earned a track scholarship to Alabama State University in 1996 (HBCU). Even though Jebreh majored in graphic design and minored in photography, he is a studio artist at heart. His freshman year was the beginning of his writings, due to a girl. He continued to write through the years, with a year or two hiatus from writing. In 1999, Harris transferred to The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, to continue his education and his track career. Majoring in graphic design, Jebreh earned his BFA in the spring of 2002. With his degree finished Jebreh proceeded to run professional track and field. Running his first year out without a sponsor, Jebreh signed with Evander Holyfield’s track club, Holyfield International in 2003. In 2005 Jebreh signed a running contract with Reebok and continues to run for them. Being ranked as high as #2 in the US, traveling to many countries, different states, and encountering all types of people, Jebreh has a lot to share. Through the years he has written many poems, some of love, day-to-day, political, encouragement and ethnic. The poems have matured through the years and so has he. His poems open himself to the readers and he hopes the readers will open themselves up to his poems. With his debut book together with his mother, Jebreh plans to publish his next book as the solo author.

When Time Seems To Pass You By
When everything seems to be rush, rush!
Take the time to meditate on the Lord!
When everything was due yesterday
Take the time to meditate on the Lord!
Take the time and let the peace of God
Soothe your mind.
NIV Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God.
Reality
You feel good for a moment then reality taps you on the
head and it says, I’m still here and you have to deal with me.
You fall in love with someone and tell them about you and
your life. Then reality pops its ugly head up . . . again.
It doesn’t matter how nice and kind you are,
Things happened to you in the past that was out of your
control.
You share these parts of you with people that you thought
cared for you.
It is a hurting feeling when Reality steps in place,
They do not see you as the person you are now, but that
person in the past and they won’t let it go.
That is why you need Jesus in your life, because He
accepts you for who you are.
He has unconditional love for you.
Life is hard to live,
because Reality always rear its ugly head,
Loneliness become a part of you even though you know
Jesus will never leave you or forsakes you.
You still long for that human touch, we are not of this world,
but we are in this world and it said in the Word of God that it
is not good for man to be alone.
Reality (continued)
You pray and hope there is someone out there that will
accept you as the person God has made you to be.
You pray sometimes that God will change you to be that
person someone will love to be with and then again you just
do not know what to do.
Your eyes fill with tears, your heart aches and you feel that
all hope is loss.
Then the Holy Spirit jumps in, holds you and comforts you
Reality is back for a fight.
As days pass you have faith in God and His Word that
Reality will be that great moment for you in life.
You hope that you will find that happiness, joy and love that
His Word so gracefully speak about.
"Oh, my Heavenly Father may the Reality of Life smile its
goodness upon me one day very soon.
I would love to know how it feels to have someone to accept
me as I am and to love me as man should love a woman. Lord
I thank you and praise you for this coming to pass in my life
and
