    Beginning Words of Thoughts

Everyone has a gift within his or her self-conciseness. Only a few have an understanding of their gift. They also choose to explode it; however, others are not aware of their gift. In addition, even if they are they do not understand why they are so different from others.

    CHAPTER ONE

    Presently Simple

W ITHIN THE SUBURBIA of Santé Louis Missouri, is a man name Delano Alexander. He is 58 years old, born in the Bronx New York were life can be hard but presently simple for a city with a vast population.

He settles in a single home house with his wife, 48 years old Nineth (knee-net) and two children, Diego 16 year’s old son and Jacqueline Lizabeth 10 year’s old. Delano retired from the military and resided in Saint Louis, Missouri to be close to family who move from New York and settle in the west. Unfortunately, Delano’s father died in 1973 due to a drug deal that went wrong. The place was Washington DC as Delano was waiting in the back of the Plymouth, although he barely knew his father because he never grew up with him.

Yo De, wait my man I need to take care of some business. Delano just looked without responding. I tell you what, let us do it, this will only take a minute, he said. The car was the only one parked in the parking lot facing the street. The passenger side was line up with the only building on the corner. Delano and his dad went inside the building and up to the third floor. Wait in this room, he said. There was a sister (a black woman) in the room who has just finish shooting up. It was not new to Delano even though he did not hang out in the streets of New York. Yet unlike his brothers who spend more time in the street than in school. Although, Delano did have his share of being a runner for the eastside gang so it was not new to have junkies’ looking for a way out through a needle or pipe in the South Bronx.

The sister came over as Delano sat on a worn out and torn bare mattress. You want water babe. She bends down slightly having cut off slacks and wearing an oversize V-neck T-shirt. She was a slim dark chocolate with short hair, exposing her breast that favors two medium size bananas. I’m good, Delano quietly said. The sister said ‘cool’ while patting Delano’s left knee three times and left the room still bent over. Moments later Delano heard let’s go as his dad (who he has known him to be call Elex), rush by the room without coming in. Delano quickly got up, dash out the door with minutes behind him until they were out the building. It only took second to jump in the car and yell, Get in the back. He reached down under the seat, pulled out a 38, and placed it on the passenger side. Proceeding to start the engine and then reaching for the 38. A loud bang echo through the parking lot, that second Delano’s dad jump and hit the gas as the car race in the street. Turning left, he then leans over forward, over the steering wheel. The car speeded through a busy intersection and crash into an abandon gas station. Before long, the crowd gathers as the DCPD arrive and took Delano to the precinct. The detective question Delano for hours, repeating the question What happen, did you kill him repeatedly until Delano stop talking.

Two large officers came and grab each arms saying get up. However, not knowing what to expect, Delano had no choice but to go with them. They took him to another lobby opposite of the entrance he came in through several hours before. There Delano’s grandmother was waiting with an unknown women he had never met. The officers released their grip as his grandmother embraced him. Without warning, he cries saying they think I killed him. Delano often flashes back on what happen in DC but never show any regret or grief on the event.

While in New York Delano visit his great grandmother for the summer while on military leave from West Germany. The rest of the family had spread out through the country such as his brothers. Other members such as aunts and uncles that resided in Saint Louis had long pass away according to friends and neighbors.
