About this ebook
T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE HANUKKAH is a colorful, comedic take-off on the eternal, holiday classic T'Was The Night Before Christmas.
Blending signature elements of Christian and Jewish holiday traditions into an off-beat, mildly irreverent and laugh-out-loud tapestry, T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE HANUKKAH introduces its hilarious and loveable character Hyman Hanukkah to start a new holiday tradition.
Warm and witty, with delightful illustrations and ease of style, this book produces belly laughs on every page as we board Hyman's "sleigh" - a red Cadillac Eldorado convertible with Dade County plates and pulled by Jewish reindeer - for a trip through the holidays on a ride of smiles. Manischewitz and roll mop, gefelte and noodle kugel, tensile rib Capri pants, the Eden Roc Hotel and a cast of charming characters are dished up with irrepressible joy...enough to whet any reader's appetite for fun and laughter.
Don't miss Hyman as he leaves Miami Beach on a star-lit, holiday eve to deliver his presents.
And don't kvetch either. The holidays will never be the same This is entertainment at its best.
Rod Oneglia
Rod Oneglia grew up in northwest Connecticut. Lucky him. T'Was The Night Before Hanukkah is his first humor book. Though Rod is highly educated, you might not know it. He works as a contractor...when he isn't trying to become a literary luminary. His new musical, The Doughnut Girls, received its first staged reading last year to significant popular acclaim (grown men cried; women too) and is currently being shopped for full-scale production. So, notice to Big-Shot-Producers-Who-Want-To-Make-Some-Big-Time-Money: Pick it up before it's too late! Selections from his work, War Poems, were published in 2005. He is currently working on a collection of short stories titled Stories From Monette, Ark. which highlight the cadence and "musicality" of regional voices. Even though he's never been to Arkansas. Talk about hubris. So please buy this book and save him from a contractor's life.
