Monstrous By Design was drawn over the course of three years, but the process that took it from simple (hah) line art to the book you are now reading took seven more years. I have learned a great deal about the art of creating a work of art. It is my hope that you find my work entertaining and inspiring. This has been a work of love and devotion and I have poured my utmost into it.

The plot is centered on the allegory of the cave written by Plato who was told it by Socrates. To give a brief synopsis for those who are not familiar with philosophy.

There was once a cave in which many people were kept chained and bound so as to make them unable to move. The cave itself smelt of the sea and the entrance to which was constantly guarded by a fire surrounded by a group of people. From the wall to which the people were bound they were able to watch the light and shadows interplay on the opposite cave wall. This light show was all any of the captives of the cave could remember having known all their lives.
