The variety of locations in the stories provide interesting and colorful background. The author has a passion for trout fishing which is both enthusiastic and contagious. As the author said I never met a trout I didnt like.

As a child and naïve Californian, I grew up in Torrance California. At the time there were wide open spaces with room to roam. Trout fishing in San Gabriel Canyon with my parents was a special part of my teen age years. I occasionally return to fish in San Gabriel Canyon. It brings back fond memories of many years ago. With the huge increase in population since I was young, it’s satisfying to know there are still trout in the streams of San Gabriel Canyon.
