Hello and thank you for your interest. I am a U.S. Army veteran: Finance Specialist. My career and work experience are in finance & accounting. The most advances degree of my three degrees is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance. I have had many jobs, classes, and training in leadership and management. One topic that comes up in most leadership and management training is Problem Solving. I have seen and studied this topic often and I began to apply these concepts to most situations and aspects of my life; my personal life, my public life, and my professional life. The most efficient problem solving is a systematic, methodical, step by step process. But I noticed that most people use some sort of unorganized, random, brainstorming experience. The first step in problem solving is: PROPERLY IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM. Often, we attempt to resolve symptoms of the real true problem. Often, we attempt to solve related or resulting problems. Often, we undertake the easiest solution, without ever solving the real true problem. Then we wonder why the problem keeps returning. Race issues, office politics, personal relationships, male chauvinism, female catty/pettiness, and jealousy all stem from one source. In this book I will tell you what is the PROPERLY IDENTIFIED PROBLEM.

So Many Followers, So Few Leaders

The first step in problem solving is to Properly Identify The Problem. Often we attempt to—or—we resolve symptoms of the real, true problem. Often we attempt to or resolve related or resulting problems without solving the real, true problem. Then we wonder why the problem keeps occurring. If you don’t get to the root, the genesis, the base of the problem—by properly identifying the problem, the solutions will not solve the real problem.

Race issues, office politics, personal relationships, male chauvinism, female catty/petty jealousy issues, and female self—image issues, all these items stem from one source: EGO—Self Worth—Self Esteem.

Most people {80 % of the world’s population} are Followers as opposed to Leaders {10% of the population} or Individuals {10 % of the population}. This is demonstrated by the fact that 80 % of the world’s wealth is owned by 20% of the population. That 20% is made up of the Leaders and Individuals: people like Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and Oprah Winfrey.

Some schools of thought agree that most humans only use 10% of their brain capability (not capacity) during their lifetime. Just as you can train, practice, and use your body to perform extraordinary athletic accomplishments, such as running a marathon, you can train, practice, and use your brain to perform extraordinary intellectual accomplishments. There is always more to know, there is always room to grow. Your ego wants you to be arrogant and smug and ASSUME you know more that the next person. Stay humble and always be willing to listen. Always be willing to learn more; no matter the source.

You and I know we are capable of accomplishing a great deal more than what we are currently doing. The most important step is to Believe you can accomplish whatever goal you have set.

Followers follow the crowd. Followers follow what is most popular. Followers want to feel as if they are part of the crowd. They are uncomfortable standing alone. They have to have someone else agree with them. They can’t make a decision by their self. They always have to ask someone else’ opinion or they just follow and imitate what they see others do.

If someone comes along who is different from the crowd and is not trying to be a part of the crowd {not a follower} a comparison is done attempting to separate and determine who is right and who is wrong, who is better and who is worse. Most followers can’t comprehend, understand, and accept that some people/things are just simply different, not right or wrong, not better or worse—just simply different.

    EGO: Self Worth: Self Esteem

The Followers erroneously follow popular opinion that self-worth should be based on material possessions and physical appearance. They are constantly comparing themselves to whomever they encounter, to see how they stack up against the next person. It is called the EGO BONUS POINT SYSTEM. They compare their cars, houses, clothes, and any other material possessions they have. They also compare their physical appearance.

When the comparison is done, if The Follower feels they have the better in the comparison, they EARN an EGO BONUS POINT. If they do not have the better in the comparison, then they LOSE an EGO BONUS POINT. If they lose an EGO BONUS POINT. If they lose an EGO BONUS POINT, they do shallow superficial acts—{sometimes vengeful, hateful, and hurtful acts}—to EARN the EGO BONUS POINT back. Examples of these acts are talking bad about the other person or being mean to the other person, or being mean to whomever they encounter, taking their frustrations out wherever possible.

Self-worth should be based on DOING THE BEST YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN.

You had no control over the family in which you were born. Some people have the privilege of being born into a wealthy family. Some people are born into poverty. Some people experience traumatic and tragic circumstances—which set them back. Some people have the appearance of wealth, but are up to their eyeballs in debt. Some obtain wealth illegally and will soon lose their wealth.

There are thousands of success stories of people who made it out of poverty through legal means—with education and hard work. The key is to BELIEVE that you can do it. Stop following the crowd to hell. Don’t let unfortunate circumstances and obstacles hold you back.

But you have to completely honest with yourself for this to work. Ask yourself {Honestly}: Did I put adequate time, effort, research, analysis, and work into whatever I was trying to accomplish?

You have to be completely honest with yourself about doing your absolute very best because in your private moments when you have to face yourself, when you have to face the truth and reality—if you have to admit to yourself: Damn, I really could have done more or I really could have put more time into that or I know I held back for selfish reasons. If you know you did not do your very best, your self-esteem will be lowered, and you may not know the right way to pick yourself back up.

Take advantage of every educational opportunity. If your job offers tuition reimbursement or additional training, take advantage of that. If you job offers fitness-club memberships or membership discounts—take advantage of that. As opportunities present themselves, you should take advantage of they. This is a big part of doing the best you can with what you’ve been given.

DO THE BEST YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU BEEN GIVEN.

The Compare and Compete should not be done or even contribute to determining one’s self-worth. Your self-esteem should not be based on material possessions. Unless you are Bill Gates, there will always be someone with better/more material possessions than you. The Compare and Compete should not be done in the first place. Keeping up with the Jones and EGO BONUS POINTS lead to petty jealously, envy, and negativity. Keeping up with the Jones can become a vicious dangerous cycle escalating into living beyond your capabilities—putting yourself, your credit, and your family at risk. Festering negative thoughts, jealously, and anger attracts negative energy and more negative circumstances.

It is unfortunate that some people thrive on negativity. It is unfortunate that some people have the need to degrade others to make themselves feel better {to gain EGO BONUS POINTS}. Sarcasm, smart remarks, jabs, and zings are indicators of a weakened ego. This sick ego is attempting to create hurtful, negative feelings in someone else. It indicates that this individual doesn’t feel good about himself/herself and they are trying to bring the other person down.

Psychological professional call this Leveling—searching for reasons or making statements to degrade others to bring them down to what you truly perceive is your level or lower.

Use it or lose it. Use more of your brain capability or lose it.
