    I live in Rancho Mirage California and am married with a beautiful 24 year old daughter and wonderful husband, who without him, none of this would have been possible. I have an interest in showing dogs which has led us into opening a Pet Hotel in Palm Desert, California, which is now The Pet Hotel at Barkingham Palace. Because of a strong feeling for God and animals, I work with animal rescue organizations to foster animals out of the shelter until a permanent home is found for them. We had also rescued 4 throughbred horses from Fingerlakes Adoption program. My first rescue dog was a greyhound by the name of Picasso who was taken off the race track and starved for a good home. I was inspired by my own Italian Greyhound Dino to write the story of Dino Vicelli. He is very humanlike and would have made a terrific private detective. Picasso also inspired me as the racing greyhounds were so abused and had many thoughts as to what would it be like if the roles were reversed between man and animal.
