Introduction
N o one expects to get up one day and experience a moment that will change one’s life forever. One step, one decision, one moment in time—it happens in a split second. There is no turning back. When I woke up April 1, 2012, I did not expect, by any stretch of the imagination, it would be the day God would reshape who I was and where I was going. That is the kind of thing you read about in books, or is it?
This book is about an unexpected journey that has transformed my life. Join me as I take you through eighteen months of pain, heartache, and unbelievable joy that only faith in God could bring me through.

I didn’t understand at the time why God was leading me like this, but later, as I thought back, it was very
