About this ebook
90 percent of mankind fears change; mens brains are actually hard-wired for it and modern men deny this fact. From the early days of human history men had to search out for the food and meat, theyd be gone for weeks or even months on end hunting, they were also exploring for better places to live. Thaddeus von Bellingshausen - from 1819 and 1821, Bellingshausen, Russian Navy Captain, circumnavigated of the Antarctic continent with two ships. He sailed the Southern Ocean completing the voyage in a body of water that now has his name, it is called the Bellingshausen Sea. At this time he discovered Peter I Island, too. In 1911 R. F. Scott - Explored the South Pole and said, Great God, what is this awful place! When undertaking new endeavors we have to take the good with the bad; remember we live in a positive expanding universe, were born to be successful. We only have to get out of our own way and achieve what we want.
Mankind needs to face their fear, and do it anyway. If you wish to achieve something and it appears threatening, investigate it, find out the facts, and get started on it! Di Carlo concludes.
As soon as the cover of this book is cracked, one can see the great men through history that Di Carlo has called upon to assist him with his understanding of goal reaching. Take advantage of this book and apply it to your daily life!

PREFACE
Over the last 30 plus years I have taught people to achieve their goals, mainly through the art of Kenpo Karate; in my life I have achieved a high degree of success in the martial arts and wish to share my experiences with those who wish to achieve the same in their lives.
For example, an individual would walk into my school and say they would like to learn to defend themselves because they had been beaten up one too many times. This is no easy task. To take an individual who is fearful of their own shadow to empower them to the point in their training I have to defend myself from their advance skill, is quite satisfying.
Now consider my challenges to achieve this, when someone is being beaten up all the time, they are doing some things very wrong. Either they are wearing a sign that says ‘kick me’ or it’s their behavior that is putting them into this environment. I have to change their outlook on themselves, on everyone they interact with, to how they walk and talk, look people in the eye, in other words create a new individual!
This is achieved through what is called cognitive reconstruction which is the process of learning to alter their faulty thinking with those that are correct, positive reinforcing and enable them to achieve their goals in self-protection as well as in life.
Thank you for selecting this book to take the time to read, I have always gone after whatever I thought of. I’ve parachuted, scuba dived, flown planes, traveled internationally, rode horse though Mexican jungles, deep sea fished in foreign waters, have been nationally rated karate champion, been a coach of the USA Karate Team, appeared on local and national TV, hosted a radio show, and owned multiple diversified businesses. It also has not been all roses and candies for me. I have also suffered from great financial loss and divorce. From my successes I have learned to recreate what I had before. I’ll explain more about these times in an early chapter in this book.
A multi-millionaire of the name Pero Novak said to me once, I you want take advice from someone you think is successful, look at where he lives.
What he meant is that the real success someone shows is in their personal lives. Pero lived in very nice house in an exclusive neighborhood, flew his own twin engine turbo-prop, droved several nice but not ostentatious cars, spoke five languages fluently which I heard, and ran six corporations on a daily basis. He talked the talk, and walked the walk. He was just one of many; I also have known martial arts greats such as Edmund K. Parker my personal instructor who also taught Elvis Presley, Mike Stone, Joe Lewis, Bill Wallace, just to name a few; I’ve gotten to rub shoulders with self-made millionaires from a variety of industries, and have lived my life to its fullest. I do usually do more in one week than most people do in a month. You should see my vacations.
I believe you have made a wise choice. Not that it’s because I wrote this book, but because of all the great people over the years and centuries who I have quoted and taken selected sayings from to reinforce my concepts and ideas. Nothing in this book is original; I have studied under and read from many highly successful motivational individuals. As the saying goes, I see further because I am standing on the shoulders of giants.
I have sought knowledge from any source that I believed to be worthy to give to you. To tell the truth, I was slow to publish as not being afraid to, but because of undertaking new endeavors. This book is a labor of love; it has taken me many years to get it into a form that
