About this ebook

History Hub presents a Complete biography of Winston Churchill from beginning to end, whose remarkable story impacts our lives even today.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill lived an incredible and meaningful life. At a young age, it already became evident that he's going to make a name when he grows up. He had some struggles and challenges as years went by, and as he tried to achieve his goals, and to overcome them one by one. Indeed, failing did not stop him from trying.

With little supervision from his parents, he worked hard and met his wife along the way, who became his companion through thick and thin. His wife, Clementine Hozier, stayed and supported him in everything he did. He marveled that he wouldn't know what to do without her by his side.

Churchill also explored different careers all at the same time. As a statesman, he led Britain into war from 1940 to 1945. He was also a historian, a biographer, and a prolific painter who created 500 murals in his later years. Finally, he was a celebrated writer whose books are still being read and studied until today. In 1953, he won the Nobel Prize for Literature, which cemented his place in modern British history.

Discover in this short yet concise biography the remarkable story of a life who impacted future generations. This book also contains 30 questions for an in-depth discussion into the life of Winston Churchill.

Chapter One: Birth and Early Childhood

    Did You Know?

Winston Churchill had struggles getting accepted in military school. He performed poorly in most of his academic subjects except for history and English composition; in addition to that, he had a hard time dealing with foreign languages. In a narrative about him, Churchill talked about a two-hour-long Latin test where he wrote the number of questions, he left blank beside his name and a blot and several smudges. He flunked his entrance examination twice at the Royal Military faculty at Sandhurst. However, as they claim, the third time's a charm as he eventually qualified with the assistance of a military tutor, albeit just for the cavalry class.
