Ariel loved her job. The pay was good and she got to live in a mansion. All she had to do in return was look after two little kids. Ariel didn’t even like children. However, she could fake it if it meant getting to work here.

 The young redhead was in the kitchen baking cookies for the kids when she heard someone call her.

She rushed to the living room to find her boss, Sean Parker waiting for her. Sean was an incredibly handsome man who had made his fortune acting.

Despite predictions that the couple would soon break up, just like most Hollywood couples before them, their relationship had stood the test of time. They had been together for ten years and things only seemed to be getting better.

She was, but unfortunately something came up and she had to work.

She was too but that clearly won’t be happening.

Does that mean you’ll have to postpone the trip again?

I considered it but Melanie wouldn’t let me change our plans. She insisted that we’ll have to go without her.

 His eyes took on a dreamy state like they usually did when he talked about his wife. Even after all this time, he was still madly in love with her.

Ariel tried not to let it bother her. He was a married man and he was allowed to think about his wife. She only wished he would look at her for once. It was a long shot but it was nice to dream. 

How are you going to manage the kids on your own? she asked.

The trip to Hawaii had been meant for Melanie, Sean and the kids. No one else other than their bodyguards had been invited. It was to be an opportunity for them to bond with their kids. However, with Melanie out of the picture, plans had to change.

Well that’s where you come in? Sean said.

Me? How? Ariel knew exactly what this meant only she wasn’t going to come out and say it.

I don’t think I can look after the kids on my own and enjoy the trip at the same time. You know how much mischief those kids gets into sometimes, he said.

They mean well.

I know they do but I don’t want to leave Hawaii feeling like I’ll tear my head off.

It seems like you’re asking a lot from the children, she said genuinely.

Sean and Melanie’s children could be a lot.
