About this ebook
THE LESBIAN METAFICTIONAL ONE WITH THE DREAM AT THE LAKE
There is a woman sitting on the grass. Not doing anything else.
I come to stand a reasonable distance away from her.
There is nobody else in sight.
The woman is so beautiful it takes all my strength not to openly stare at her.
It is something in her manner. Something in the way she is watching the lake. Sitting peacefully. Looking slightly pensive or sad maybe.
Standing still, without knowing anything about her. I can imagine her to be anything I wanted her to be.
So I do.
To me, this woman, seen, but as of yet unknown, is a person of great value to me. I love her. I feel like she is the object I can never have, and am not sure I want to have.
She is the object of my desire that, once I make a move to satisfy that desire, will forever be changed. Forever be lost.
I don't want to make any moves.
I want to sit here thinking and imagining, in this perfect state of not knowing, forever.
A state of hope.
But life is meant to be lived.
So let me step into one possibility.
