introduction
Introduction
Real estate, or shelter, no doubt, is one of the essential requirements for human survival. Whether a person decides to rent, buy or sell a home, one can always find help through various real estate companies or individuals who offer solutions.
Such solutions can come in the form of real estate trading services or property rental services, as well as other services necessary to complete a real estate transaction.
The real estate business is, and remains to be, a very lucrative endeavour to this day. And that seems to attract many people. Many of them are self-motivated, ambitious, self-driven, goal-oriented, enterprising individuals.
Any person can enter the real estate industry, given different career options. If you enjoy selling and doing consulting work, you can choose a real estate agent career.
With preparation and motivation, there may be no limit to what you can achieve. But with that, you need to have, if not develop, a positive frame of mind. What do you want to accomplish? What is your idea of success?
Why must real estate agents approach their real estate business the way business owners would manage their enterprise? How should they develop their creativity and brilliant mindset?
With this book, The Brilliant Mindset of a Real Estate Agent: What it Takes to Achieve Your Goals, you will find some insights and learn some practical approaches.
You will find case studies in which we explore two personas through the life of Lyra and Sam, who are both newly licensed real estate agents yet with very different attitudes and mindsets.
We take a closer look into their experiences and their goals. What are the approaches to their real estate undertakings?
Then, we cover topics on goals.
That would include the essence of achieving a goal. And at the same time, taking on small goals to achieve that one big goal. And why these two types of goals must link? What is the significance of each of these goals? How could goal-setters achieve their ultimate aim in their career, in business, and even in their day-to-day life?
We, further, looked at how to go about choosing one’s journey. On what aspects of such a journey should one focus? Then, we touch on this very question that can seem to excite anyone: Are You Ready for Your One Million Dollar Journey?
In life, there are always options available in which we can choose to do. One of such options is to continue with the journey. And the other is to look at the things that we could learn (through the experience). That is like looking at the general essence of life: to live it or to learn from it. You have the power in your hands to decide on which way to go.
Being a part of this complex and challenging real estate industry, one can learn the many ropes in the real estate business.
A real estate agent can find success in their real estate business in many ways. First off, an agent can look up to some role models. Then, they can define and hone their approaches. Gradually, they go through what it takes to develop brilliant thinking. Then, learn to adapt to some changing situations.
When a real estate agent gets licensed, they can start to function in the real estate practice. That is a given. A real estate agent must have gone through a series of regulatory training requirements. They must have learned the many legal aspects that come with the real estate trading services, including other required relevant courses.
What one may not probably realize is that the real estate profession, like any other business, requires some practical self-development as part of preparation.
Real estate agents must define their purpose for entering the business. They must answer some questions, and perhaps, even one question after another. Such questions may include: Why did I choose the real estate business, of all other business possibilities? Would my personality fit into this industry? If not, what does it take to be successful in this business?
Real estate agents must know their strengths the same way they must acknowledge their
