30 Organizing Tips For Writers - Cindy Tomamichel
Welcome
Hello, and thanks for downloading! This is a small booklet with thirty organizing tips focused on your author platform, or the specifics of being an author, or just writing life. You are free to skip around (literally if you like) and check out sections that interest you most. Do one – or do them all – in whatever time frame suits you. But it’s been a tough time for the world of late, and while these tips are written with the hopes of giving you more free time, please don’t take them on as an additional burden to your to-do list.
I have provided free documents on my website – a planner, mind map and other assorted goodies which you are welcome to download from my website https://cindytomamichel.com under the menu tab ‘Help for Writers.’ The direct link is: https://cindytomamichel.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Organizing-tips.pdf
Writing can be a lonely profession, so make sure you join a few groups – either face to face or on Facebook. In them you can learn lots of useful practical things, join in writing prompts and often find critique partners in your genre. But some of the best parts are the camaraderie with writers labouring as you are, often with the same burdens and cares. Do your part and support them with reviews and recommendations, and it will be returned when you launch your book.
Words build worlds. Mine – Yours – Readers. A circle that goes round and round, from the earliest grunt at a campfire to a Captain’s log that tells of an expedition to the stars. Or delves into the dark fears of humankind, or the love that blossoms in a glance.
So good luck with your writing in whatever form it takes. I hope that some of the tips you read here will give you more time to create that story that lives inside you.
1. Planning – Goals

It is set up with the idea of getting your thoughts written down – what are the things you would
