      Introduction

      Bhagavad Gita is the crowning jewel of Indian philosophy. Its greatness lies in the fact that it reflects the philosophy of life in its many contradictions. The universe is not linear, it is spherical and multi-dimensional. Anything that is spherical has contradictions and when it is multi-dimensional, there are opposite values in it.

      Opposite values are complimentary to each other in some strange manner. Purpose of life is to rise above the opposites. That is the point, the aim of spirituality – rising above the opposites, and Bhagavad Gita is the lift that elevates you step by step.

      Bhagavad Gita is the most contradictory and confusing scripture in the world. It is a dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna in the battlefield, just moments before the commencement of the war. Arjuna is confused whether to fight the war or not. He does not want to fight, because all his friends, relatives, cousins and teachers – all are on the other side, and he feels it wrong
