Zander Bingham
Zander Bingham was born and raised on a boat that was eventually captured by pirates when he was just 12-years-old. Forced to walk the plank, he, along with his family and crew, swam to a nearby island where Zander spent his days imagining the adventures he might have at sea, just like those swashbuckling pirates... Well, not exactly. But Zander did love boating adventures as a kid. And he always dreamed of exploring deserted islands and being a real-life castaway. He grew up cruising around Australia, the USA and The Bahamas. He eventually captained his very own sail boat, living aboard and exploring the Adriatic Sea with his wife and two young sons. His thirst for exploration, his witty sense of humor, and his newfound passion for writing stories to read to his boys at bedtime, led to the creation of Jack Jones; the confident, brave and curious boy adventurer who is always searching for his next escapade.

CHAPTER ONE
Can someone help with the luggage?
Mr. Jones called.
Jack, Emma, and Albert ran across the lawn towards the family car. Emma twirled like a ballerina and grabbed her purple suitcase from the trunk. She dragged it towards the house with a happy sigh. I’m so glad we’re finally here!
Smell that fresh air!
Mrs. Jones said in agreement.
A real farm,
Albert said, looking around. I can’t wait to see everything.
It was late summer, and the Jones family was spending an entire week at a cousin’s farm called Sunny Hill Orchards. The two families decided to swap houses while the children still had summer vacation. The Jones family was delighted with the change of scenery.
And what scenery it was! The peaceful, rural area was just what the family needed for a relaxing break from the day-to-day routine of work and school. They were looking forward to swimming, fishing, hiking, and crisp evenings as the crickets serenaded them.
As Jack carried his bag from the car, he paused, taking in their new surroundings.
The large farmhouse stood directly in front of him, painted a bright white with a large porch wrapping around the entire house. Rocking chairs with plump pillows sat invitingly near the front door. There was a red barn off to the side and several small sheds, also red, but there were no animals apart from the family’s chicken coop. This was a fruit tree farm.
Off in the distance grew rows of apple, pear, peach, and cherry trees. Beyond the fruit trees, and just past the big red barn, was the outer edge of a forest.
I haven’t been here since I was your age,
Mr. Jones said. It will be interesting to see what’s changed and what is still the same.
He rubbed his hands together excitedly before closing the car’s trunk.
"Mom, Dad, can we go
