McKenna Summerlin absolutely loathed her hometown. It was a small town on the coast of South Carolina, a town where everybody knew everybody, as well as each other’s business. That was one of the things about her town that bothered her. She couldn’t wait to get out of that town. The day she turned 18 she had her Honda Civic loaded up with her belongings and she left for college in New York and never looked back. She hadn’t been back home in since Christmas two years ago.
