    I sat on the edge of my bed staring at my mum as she tried to convince me to eat my lunch. For two weeks all I was having was juice and water. I felt suicidal but my mother was there to support me. She did not let me out of her sight. I refused to see any of my friends because I wasn’t sure who to trust. I was determined to become a doctor and nothing was going to stop me. Just as my life started to take shape, my whole world fell around me

    Two months before leaving secondary school, I felt as if I was being watched. One afternoon whilst in the library, I looked up from a book into a pair of blue eyes. He immediately made himself looked busy as he shuffled a pile of paper on the table. So I wasn’t paranoid then? Someone was really watching me.

    Two days later when I tried to break a machine to get my energy drink; the man with the blue eyes came to my rescue. He wasted no time in asking me to go with him to the prom.

    Are you sure you don’t want to ask someone else?

    You’re the one I want to go with, he said confidently.

    I’m not sure, I muttered, I’m going to be late for my class. See you later, I said as I went in the opposite direction.

    Excuse me! What is your name? he yelled. Ann-Marie, I answered and carried on walking.
