How to Turn Meditation Practice into a Habit of Your Life?

    Introduction

Living in function of time, work and responsibilities, many people are surrounded by a tense and stressful atmosphere. This kind of routine drains a person’s energy because it is living on automatic, totally immersed into doing the same things all the time, every day.

Nowadays, the way of life imposed on society, in an attempt to adapt to the constantly changing work processes, has generated serious physical and emotional stress. The rhythm of work sometimes contradicts the individual’s biological rhythms. The effect of this configuration directly reflects on people’s health and even extrapolates, permeating their diverse social relationships in everyday life.

Stress and anxiety have been considered a widespread problem. These mental health problems are among the causes that most contribute to the appearance of various diseases and disorders in the population, especially among workers.

But aren’t you tired of this? Don’t you think it’s time to stop and take a time for yourself? Is it really worth getting sick because of work, studies, housework and so many other responsibilities we have? We might think about this every day, and we all know the answer. But do we at least give ourselves a chance?

It is important to understand that we all have limitations, which must be respected. Sometimes we seem like we have no appreciation for our lives, well-being and happiness. It’s true we can’t run from our responsibilities and we usually have no option but to keep going. But nobody deserves to live like this. We need to find a way out of this suffocating routine and have a moment to relax, and be at peace with our inner selves.

Meditation might be the best ally to help us keep going with our lives and fulfill our responsibilities without freaking out and getting sick. Meditation is training the mind to help it develop the strengths and skills it needs to solve its problems. Just as there are several different remedies for different diseases that afflict the body, there are several different meditation methods for different problems of the body and mind.

The main problem is the stress and suffering that the mind brings to itself through its own thoughts and actions. Even though the mind wants happiness, it is still overwhelmed with mental pain. In fact, this pain stems from the mind’s misguided efforts toward happiness. Taking this into account, meditation helps to reveal the reasons why the mind does this and, as these reasons are revealed, we are able to heal these wounds. Healing them opens up the possibility of genuine happiness for you. A happiness you can trust, a happiness that will never change or frustrate you.

This book will introduce you to various forms of meditation and how to introduce the practice into your routine in the way that works best for you – your way is always the right one and the best, so don’t be afraid to try it.

Although meditation is a state that our mind can naturally reach, don’t be discouraged if you don’t get it on the first try. Have perseverance and know that you can always try again. Having a moment with yourself to align your thoughts and calm your mind is extremely important for us to be resilient and move on with our lives.

From now on, you’re giving yourself a chance to change the way you deal with the pressure of fulfilling your responsibilities every day. During your learning, you will try to look inside your inner self without judgement. Understand who you are and why you are here. Remember that you matter. Your happiness is important, and the only person that can find it is yourself.
