A NEW AGE

The 22nd century marked a new age in human evolution. Technological advancements led to a new era and the world changed drastically from what it was in the mid-21st century; however, just like the eras before, humans got too greedy, too ambitious and the world took a turn for the worse. In the early 22nd century, the world was destroyed by what was known as the great purge. A version of Trans human treatments had gone wrong. Nano machines had been used to enhance and improve humans and since early tests were positive, the world embraced it. The first generation of the Trans humans were remarkable. They were healthier and physically stronger. Their DNA responded well to the treatments they received. Three billion people received the Trans humanism treatments.

Forty years after the first generation received their treatments, the human race begun to change. People were more like machines. The ones who had never received the treatments noticed the change. They were the ones that were at the bottom of society and had lost their basic human rights. That was the beginning of the great purge. The trans-humans begun to systematically eradicate the ordinary humans; humans were not the only species to receive the treatments. The treatments were given to species that were thought to be going extinct. Crypto zoologists too were given access to the Trans human research, animal species evolved and new species were born as well thanks to research by the crypto zoologists. These new species/creatures were called chimera.

At the heart of Trans humanism and crypto zoology was a professor. The man that led the charge when it came to Trans human experiments and trans treatments in general, he was the authority; however, the changes in human society had brought him to the realization that he had made a mistake. Mankind had forever changed. The world before the great purge had eight billion people three billion of which had received the Trans treatments. When the purge happened, over four billion people died among the ordinary population and half a billion Trans humans were killed in the clashes. The professor’s name was Adonis. After the great purge, he created a system designed to track patterns that would lead to future conflict; he called it the oracle system. He created the program out of the guilt he felt for what had happened to both the Trans humans and ordinary humans. Although the purge came to an end, the relationship between Trans humans and ordinary humans was irreparable.
