Given that virtually no golf training book has received extensive training in golf psychology, allow me to share some tips in this GUIDE for maximizing focus on the golf course using the Zen philosophy. life is too short not to express yourself , share ideas and thoughts. I remember a time when the world was a bit different. I like to think that deep down all of us remember. I dont like gruges or have any regret. I try not to dwell on the past about somthing that I have no control over, it is the past. The same goes for whats ahead, you cant make it happen and you sure wont change it when it does. I've learned many very valueble things from my experiences , on the top of that list is when you take the opportunity to grasp the moment , live for only now , things around you have new meaning. life around you becomes extraordinary when you stay in the moment, life has no limits. No past No future , only now is forever. The before and after is the thought in wich makes time a factor .

Concentration is the key to mastering golf. It is much more than the ability to remain focused on the golf shot or to visualize it. Given that virtually no golf training book has received extensive training in golf psychology, allow me to share some tips in this GUIDE for maximizing focus on the golf course using the Zen philosophy. I'm not talking about grinding
on the golf course. This will wear you out early in the round and deplete your mental reserves.

Once upon a time, the capacity for concentration was astonishing. Before the ability to think or comprehend what words are. This occurred when you were an infant. Your mind was like a sponge. As an infant, you could focus your attention uninhibitedly on something within your field of vision.
As you grew older and developed the ability to speak and think, you became conscious of the small voice within your head that seems to be present at every waking moment. It is that small voice that you cannot silence regardless of how hard you try. It is constantly advising you that the golf shot is too difficult or that another golfer is superior to you.
Dogen Zenji, a Zen master, advises not to suppress negative thoughts in mind but to pass on their own. Allow negative thoughts to enter and exit your mind. It will not last long if you are not emotionally invested in the thinking. When you try to remove a negative thought from your mind, it indicates that you are disturbed by it. Not attempt to be disturbed by something.
Although it may seem as if negative thoughts originate outside of your head, they are simply mind waves and if you are not disturbed by the waves, they will eventually become calmer. Your mind will be serene and peaceful in five to ten minutes. Your breathing will become very slow at this stage.
After slowing your breathing and calming your mind, you can nourish your mind with positive thoughts.
If you breathe slowly, your mind will follow suit; it will be prepared to focus exclusively on the thoughts necessary to play the golf shot at hand.
In case your ego gets in the way and you start worrying about how to please others, this distracts you from your goal of playing the shot at hand. Allow the thought to come and pass. Do not attempt to eliminate it; allow it to pass naturally, like a wave on the ocean.
