Wicca Candle Magic - Amber Logan
Chapter 1 an Overview of Candle Magic
Candle magic is one of the most basic spellcasting methods, and it doesn't necessitate a lot of elaborate rituals or ceremonial instruments. To put it another way, anybody with a candle may perform a spell. Consider the time you wished before blowing out the candles on your birthday cake. In candle magic, you're doing the same thing, but instead of wishing for your wish to come true, you're announcing your intent.
The birthday candle routine is based on three main magical concepts, if you think about it:
• Set a target for yourself.
• Create a mental image of the final product.
• Concentrate your intention, or will, to achieve the outcome.
Selecting a Candle
Most magical device practitioners will assure you that the size of your candle is unimportant. Large candles, in particular, can be counterproductive. A candle that takes three days to burn, for example, can be very irritating to anyone working a spell that requires the candle to burn all the way down.
A short taper candle or a votive candle will usually suffice. A spell may specify a certain type of candle, such as a seven-day candle or a figure candle, to reflect a specific individual, which is a kind of sympathetic magic. The little menorah candle sold by the box in the kosher section of the grocery store is one of the most famous candles, believe it or not. They're about four inches tall, white, and slender. As a result, they're ideal for casting spells.
For spell job, you can still use a brand new candle, not one that has been burnt before, such as at the dining table or in the bathroom. According to some magical rituals, when a candle begins to flame, it gathers up sounds from the objects surrounding it. Some people assume that if noises have already contaminated a used candle, it would result in a bad or unsuccessful magical outcome.

When it comes to paints, having a lot on hand for various magical reasons is a good idea. Color correspondences for candle magic are usually as follows:
• Pink: Friendship and sweet love • Red: Courage and fitness, physical love, and lust
• Orange: Attraction and encouragement • Gold: Financial gain, business endeavors, and solar connections • Yellow: Persuasion and security • Green: Financial gain, plenty, and fertility • Light Blue: Health, patience, and understanding • Dark Blue: Depression and vulnerability
• Silver: Insight, reflection, and lunar links * It's worth noting that in many Pagan rituals, a white candle may be substituted for some other color.
Doing Rituals for Your Candle
Once you've chosen a candle, give it a good oiling or dressing before lighting it. This is a technique for establishing a psychic bond between you and the candle. In other words, when you light the candle, you're filling it with your own energies and personal vibrations and projecting your intention onto the wax.
You'll need a natural oil to dress a candle; many practitioners choose grapeseed because it has no odor. Using special candle magic oils from a supernatural supplies store as another choice. Begin rubbing the oil down from the top of the candle to the center. Then, starting at the bottom of the candle and working your way up to the center, finish where the first coat of oil left off. In other cultures, the anointing is performed in the reverse order, beginning in the middle and working outwards.
If your work necessitates the use of herbs, roll the oiled candle in the powdered herbs until it is fully covered. It's essential to keep in mind, however, that a candle is merely a tool. It's not magical in and of itself, but it's a way to make magic by using the element of fire to put one's purpose in motion. Like all instruments used for magical purposes, Candles should be spiritually cleansed before being used in a spell.
A piece of colored paper that suits the candle's purpose is used in the simplest form of candle magic. Make a decision on what you want to do and write it down on the sheet of paper.
You would write down your intention if you were going to work for money: I would become financially successful.
In certain cultures, you'd write your target down in a mystical alphabet like Theban or Enochian. We will choose a gold or green sheet of paper and a candle of the same color since this is a money-oriented working. Visualize yourself fulfilling your target when you write it down.
Consider the many ways in which you can achieve your goal, such as receiving a boost at work. Perhaps someone who owes you money will show up out of nowhere and pay you back. Or maybe you'll get a sizable tax rebate!
Fold the paper after you've written down your target, focusing on your intention the whole time. Some people want to do this while saying a brief chant. It doesn't need to be something extravagant. You might say something like: If extra money comes my way,
I could use some cash right now.
Extra money would come to me if I want it to.
Enable one corner of the folded paper to catch fire in the flame of the candle. Hold the paper for as long as you can without burning your fingers, then put it in a fire-safe bowl or cauldron to finish burning on its own. Allow the candle to flame out finally. Rather than save the candle to use on another working, discard it until it has melted. A candle usually only has a stub of wax left, which you can either bury outdoors or dispose of in whatever way you want.
Divination of Candle Magic
Candles are used for divination in some magical traditions. Reading the wax and seeing how the candle burns are the two most popular ways of candle divination.
You'll need to pay attention to whether the candle burns low or high, whether it flickers, or whether there are enough flames to discern by the way it burns. Two flames could indicate that someone from the spirit realm is assisting you in achieving your objective. Even the colours in the blaze will reveal information about the spell's efficacy. However, there is no agreement on what these symbols mean. Although some practitioners assume that a candle that burns tall and brightly indicates that one's wish will be granted, others point out that the duration and consistency of the wick, as well as an air vent, will affect how the candle burns. Concentrate on your intention rather than the way the candle burns.
These Magical Spell Candles Are Needed
THE ELEMENT OF FIRE
Fire is the most hypnotic of the Wiccan Elements, but it's also the only one that can't be touched without causing harm. Although the Fire Element is not technically required for human survival (we did survive without it for a brief time early in our long history), it is surely important for a safe and happy life. Fire has allowed us to cook healthy meals, work and play after sunset, and warm ourselves in colder climates for over 100,00 years.
Fire is the element of transformation, and it is represented by the Sun and its rays, as well as the stars, deserts, and volcanoes. It is synonymous with illumination, wellness, power, and imagination. It is the most dynamic and animated of the classical Elements, still in motion, except though rooted in one place. As part of the Earth's natural balance, fire preserves trees stable by cycles of fire and rebirth.
Of course, when this force is unchecked, it can be dangerous and lethal, which is why those who aspire to wield it treat it with such reverence. Any of the other Elements can extinguish fire,
