    About The Author

    Introduction

Whether we realize it or not, we walk in some kind of faith every day. You may be thinking how is that? When you enter into a room and turn on the light switch, you do so with faith, that is, faith in the electrician that he did his job correctly, with the result of the lights coming on. When you start your car, you are expressing a faith in the car manufacturer that it will start and continue to run properly.

Faith is a word that gets loosely tossed around in the Christian circles; however, many are not waking in True (The) Faith. No amount of works that one does will produce faith; however, true faith will produce works (James 2:14-26). I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:18b

The True (The) Faith I am speaking of a faith within the correct object, which is, ‘Faith in the Cross and the finished Work of Jesus Christ.’ I have discovered after many years of study on the subject of faith, that there is only one kind if faith that pleases God. Again, I am speaking of ‘Faith in the Cross and what Jesus Christ accomplished there!’

Within the following pages, I want to take you, the reader, on a journey of discovery. In the great book of Hebrews, the writer has left us with an entire chapter on what I like to call The Heroes of Faith!

Upon studying the 11th chapter of Hebrews, we will discover, within the scriptures, an unfolding revelation of the kind of faith it took for all of those recorded in this Great Hall of Fame of Faith chapter.

While walking in faith, each individual produced works which revealed their faith within receiving and/or embracing the promises of God. We will discover that these did not walk in just any kind of faith. These Heroes revealed a ‘true faith,’ they looked forward to the Cross and what Jesus Christ would do there, while today, the believer must look back at the Cross and what Jesus Christ accomplished there!

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is before us,"

Looking unto to Jesus The author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Hebrews 12:1-3

    Chapter 1

    Faith and Works

"Yea, a man may say, Thou Hast Faith,

and I have works: show me thy faith

without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works."

    James 2:18

This great Epistle of James has been referred to as the New Testament Book of Proverbs. The main theme in this Epistle is James proclaiming that true faith will be revealed by works. Some were declaring they had faith, yet
