About the Author
My given name is Magdaleno Puentes, I am known as Leno for short. I was born on July 22,1944 in a small mining town called Mineral De San Diego which is a suburb of the city of Durango in the state of Durango, Mexico. I was born home and delivered by a mid wife, the fee $1.50. My mother and I were smuggled across the Rio Grande by my father when I was about 15 months old at a point about four miles east of the Present Zaragoza International Bridge. In the old days the Rio Grande had water year round, no I did not get wet. In the old days illegals that crossed the Rio were called Mojadas. Mojadas in English is wet, whoever crossed the Rio illegally would get wet, from that the rude word Wetback derived.
I had to drop out of high school in my 4th year not because I was stupid or lazy, I had to drop out to help the family. I was the oldest of 13 and it was hard on my father to keep up with the demands of the needs. I earned my GED in the U.S. Army and later became a U.S. citizen, it was not given to me. I applied and tested for it, even after serving in the army. At the end my family consisted of 15 survivors, two died in their infancy....
Presently there are 13 siblings in my family, I am the oldest. A brother, Ben was murdered in Houston by an illegal that has not been captured and one is missing in Viet Nam. I am proud of me, I fought my way out of poverty and now have a great family. I retired after almost 25 years of penal work and enjoying life. I have more books in mind and I have a big goal even at my age. I am a U.S. Citizen, veteran, a great grand pa, a Tea Party Conservative and yes I am very proud of me and my family, all my kids and their kids are Consveratives except for one. I am not perfect. And to top the cake, I am a life time member of the NRA. Yes sir.
I have to give credit for this book and other books I have planned to Rush Limbaugh due to what I have heard him say, something to the affect, We live in the greatest country and all is possible.
After thinking about it, I decided to do it ,thanks Rush.
Introduction
This book has a little bit about everything, my opinions, politics, events, some history, some sports. I am sure that there are writings in here of interest for everyone, it is life. There is some history that some might not know for the fact most schools do not teach or they might have an agenda to keep the students dumb. I know I am not a scholar so there might be a period where a comma should be or a noun where a verb should be. Just bear wiith me and laugh at me if you want. Have a good time.
This book is not written in any particauliar order so do not be surprised when the subject changes. I am writing from my heart, so go ahead and laught at me, I want you to enjoy this book.
...
I wish there was a way I could put all the important items on the front page. I want to aid the Democrats in their campaigns, here is something they may use with my permission. They can accuse Mr. Trump has the lowest unemployment rate for Latinos and Blacks and a booming economy, you elect me and I will put those Latinos and Blacks back on food stamps and in housing projects where they belong and I will also put the economy where O’Bama had it. How dare they be prosperous. You Catholics want to kill unborn babies, elect me and you may take babies to the chop shops.
It is amazing how some can vote for Democrats.
I saw a very hateful looking Pamela testify in the impeachment hearings and I think she went after President Trump’s youngest son with anger and hate. The Democrats are a hateful bunch and the reason for that is that we the Americans stand in their way to a dictatorship and there is no other reason. We can disagree on issues , but to hate someone simply for not having the same political view is wrong.
I have been cussed at, honked at, given number one hand signals and other rude geatures for having a Trump sticker on my truck, an idiot with plates from Mexico drove by my house and yelled stupid Spanish at me and the Trump sign on the yard. At the rate we are going we will be engage in combat for our freedom, against each other, a Civil War.
One day I was driving on Airway Blvd. north and some idiot in a white Benz honked and made geatures at me, I changed lanes and caught up to him and question him as we drove side by side, he flashed what look like a badge, he thought I was going to get scared. I brush his badge look alike and waved at him to pull over, he turned east on Egdemere and sped away. If he was a cop he would have gotten in trouble with the department and who knows what damage I would have done if he became physical, it was up to him. If you have a different political view, debate them, do not act stupid. Debate facts, do not get personal or do character assisignation.
The Democrats remind me of Fidel Castro before he took over Cuba, he promised the world to the Cubans and most Cubans fell for it. Learn what Fidel Castro, Hitler and other Democrats promised their people and what they delivered once they took over.
Notice how the Democrats promised the world when campaigning, once they get in office nothing. A Democrat candidate that scares me is Michael Bloomberg, he really puts salsa on the tacos and the touble is there are some that will fall for his crap. What does he call Baby Shop Chops? Reproductio rights of a women. Why not call it what it is? Killing unborn babies. Should you be scared of Bloomberg? Yes, good thing he dropped out of the primaries.
Here is a nightmare. Nancy Pelosie as President, Jerry Nadler as Vice President, Adam Shifft as Secretary of Defense and Maxine Waters as Treasury Secretary. Are you laughing? That is possible. if Senor Trump is kicked out the Gestapo will go after the Vice President. if he gets kicked out then it will be President Nancy and her platform.
Imagine Jerry Nadler, Nancy Pelosie, and Adam Shift wearing a Gestapo uniform.
Has anyone thought the Democrats colluded with China to create the Corona Virus? Why not, the Democrats accused Mr. Trump of colluding with the Russians. I think this virus was planned and the secret got out. What secret? A secret weapon that would have wiped out most of the world.
This virus in a way is a good thing for the simple fact this shows we are not invinciblee/special, we are in reality nothing in this life, the wealthy and the poor, we all exit the same way. Why do you suppose hearsts do not have a luggage carrier? We take nothing. We have a saying in Spanish, De un mal viene un bein.
In English, Of bad comes one good.
I am sure some will change their thinking.
To me the Coronavirus was a premature chemical attack on the world, especially on the U.S. The thing is the plan did not worked out as planned, I think the real attack is ahead. This was a test, all this taking place is in the bible. Evil is doing this, not God. I guaranttee you some some are applauding this attack such as the Terrorist, the enemy, the Democrats. Why not? The New York Senate applauded the approval of a bill to kill babies.
I wonder what will have kill more, the Coronavirus or abortions[Democrats], especially the Catholics that pray before a meal then go vote for Democrats? Can we get a count of murders by Democrats? Slavery, Civil War, KKK,Abortions , to include Ted Kennedy drowning of a young girl.
AFL-NFL Merger
For those that do not know there once was the American Football League and it was founded in 1960 and so were the Dallas Cowboys and there was also a the Dallas Texans team that now are the Kansas City Chiefs. By he way the Dallas Texans /Chiefs played in a super bowl centuries before the Cowboys. Tne difference between the Texans and Cowboys was that the Texans were in the AFL and the Cowboys in the NFL. Who would have tought the AFL would play a part in some of the Cowboys’ future success and to me it seems the AFL ended up being used when the merger was made.
I think Joe Namath had a big hand in the merger taking place and here is why. In 65 Joe was the number one draft choice of the AFL’s New York Titans/Jets and the NFL’s St, Louis Cardinales. There was a tug of war between these two teams and eventually Joe signed with the AFL for I think $450,000.
Up to now the leagues had separate drafts and both compete for the same players. The prices to sign a player were starting to get expensive and I think that is when Joe had a big impact. In 1966 everywhere Joe played the game was soldout and in reality I think Joe was putting the NFL kind of in second place. To me Joe Namath made the AFL and maybe without a merger one of the leagues might have folded, possible. Joe signed in 65, the merger talk started in 1966, by Tex Schramn president of the Cowboys. Because of Joe Namath?
All I have is circumstaniel evidence the merger aided the Cowboys and here is the first. Tex Schramn the president of the Cowboys started the merger talks with the AFL team owners except for Al Davis, the owner of the Oakland Raiders. Al was not for the merger and I think for two reasons, one is that the NFL snubbed an AFL team to join the NFL and the other reason I think is Mr. Davis smelled a rat.
In fact Al was so a gainst the merger that he started a fund for the AFL teams to pay the draftees. Needless to say the merger took effect in 1970 and when I saw how the merger was made I was one mad Mexican. My favorite team the Baltimore Colts were moved to the American Conference, supposedly to even the conferences. At that time the Colts were a top two team, did that had to do anything with evening the conferences? The Mexican way to put it, is the Cowboys could not handle the Colts at that time.
The other move I did not like is the Cleveland Browns moved to the American Conference to even the conferences, in 68 and again in 69 the Browns tore up the Cowboys. Was this the reason to move the Browns to the American Conference or to even the Conferences? The Browns are now the Baltimore Ravens, the present Browns are an expansion team.
I think someone got egg on their face by moving the Steelers to the American Conference, to even the Conference. At that time the Steelers were welcomed by the host teams with parades and parties. Of course we know who lost in Super Bowl X and Xlll, and to whom. After these two loses to the Steelera can you imagine the master of the merger with egg on his face saying, Who would’ve thunk that of the Steelers?
Here is another thought that might scare some fans. If the Steelers and Colts had not been removed from the NFL to even the conferences, what are the chances the Cowboys would not have played in Super Bowl 5, 10 and 13 ? I wonder of someone had the merger all planned before the product? I wonder.
In Super Bowl 111 the New York [Joe Namath] defeated my team, the Colts, the AFL can take care of the big boys, that is why I think the AFL should have been left alone and allow to expand it, let the NFL traditions continue, let the Browns and Colts keep whipping the Cowboys. To me ciircumstaniel evidence makes me think someone was going to use the merger for their convenience, the facts point to that. The only proof I have is Tex started the merger talks and the Cowboys benefit the way the merger was made. Prior to the merger the Cowboys were in the Western Division, after the merger they end up in the Eastern Division and to boot two teams that the Cowboys could not play with at that time were removed from the NFL to even the conferences. Is that circumstaniel evidence or fate? To me it seems as if the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Colts were removed from the Cowboys’ path.
In the merger I think the AFL teams were used and cheated to accomplish an agenda, especially the the origanl AFL teams and to a certain extetnt so were the Washington Redskins, New York Gaints, Phailadelpia Eagles and the St. Louis Cardinales. Maybe that is why Ai Davis did not want the merger. Did he smealled a RAT? The way the the merger was made when the Colts, Steelers and the Browns/Ravens play in a super bowl that means an AFL team was deprived of playing in that super bowl, especially the original AFL teams. In the 70’s at least three times. Count the times the Ravens, Steelers and Colts have played in a super bowl, those are how many super bowls the AFL teams have been deprived of. To complete an agenda? You decide.
Prior to the merger the Cowboys were in the West Division, after the merger the Cowboys were in the East Division. Why? All the rest of the major Dallas sport teams are in the West or South Division. Do you think integrity was missing in making the merger? When the St. Louis Cardinales moved to Phoenix they were removed from the East Divison to the West Division. To even the coferernces? Now the NFL has integrity?
Here is how I think the Redskins, Eagles, Giants and the Cardinales were used. The Cowboys do not have any business being in the East Division, they should have
