Any book needs an introduction, telling where the story is located, what the subject of the book is, and what can be expected. The Bible is no different.

It begins with a statement of faith, In the beginning, God… God is whatever He is. We would like to know Him, but He is beyond our capability of understanding. Some people think that God has to operate within their understanding. Muslims, for instance, say that the Trinity is heresy because God cannot be both one and three. To limit God to our understanding is a type of arrogance. When we choose to be positive about something that we have no possible way of knowing makes us look stupid.
