ABOUT THE AUTHOR
INTRODUCTION
Is God calling you to the ministry of writing?
Then get ready for a journey through the wilderness to prepare for the ministry that awaits you. History is replete with examples that show when God called people to do great things for Him, they first spent time in the wilderness preparing for their respective callings. For example, Moses spent time in the wilderness to get ready to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Joseph spent time in the wilderness to get ready to become second in command in Egypt. Jesus even spent time in the wilderness before He was ready to begin his ministry to die for the sins of the world.
After God called me to the ministry of writing, I too went through a season of preparation, a time designed to get me ready to become the Christian author God called me to be. It was a time when my faith was tested to determine what I was really made of; a time spent refining my character so I’d be ready for the challenges that came with being in ministry; a time spent learning my craft so I could be my very best at what God had called me to do.
In twenty-two bite-sized chapters, this book chronicles my journey – beginning with the day I heard the call to write for ministry, leaving the Egypt
of my career to prepare for my new calling, spending time in the wilderness of my home preparing for my writing ministry, and to the day I reached my promised land and became a Christian author.
Why am I sharing my story? Because maybe you are one of those special people God has called to the ministry of writing. If so, it is my hope the story of my journey to write for the kingdom and the lessons I learned along the way provide you the inspiration and information needed to help you get ready for the ministry of writing God is calling you to do.
How can you benefit from this book? By applying the prayer and action step listed after each devotion shared. Each prayer and action step are designed to help you seek God’s guidance for your writing journey and apply the inspiration and information shared by me in each devotion to help you live out the call of writing God has given you to
