This book was inspired by my great-grand boy, Charles Ulysses Ross III. On his 3rd birthday party, we talked and played rolling around the floor when he began telling me his story about his spirit friend. Talk to your little ones and believe them when they share what they see and know that will give them confidence because they were heard and validated. Remember, their truth is pure, funny, exciting; it is not their imagination; it is there life as they are experiencing it.
My story is not the important part of this book, it is just a spring board into your own story to help you remember your baby story.
Preface
I dedicate this book to Charles Ulysses Ross III; He took me on a journey and I hope he takes you on your own childhood memories. Believe what they see and enjoy ; the pure love they give, join them in their world. All my teachers and students have given me great knowledge and I still continue learning every day. I am sharing my Charles’ story, it reminded me of and opened a conversation into my childhood.
Chapter 1

By Maria Garay Reynolds
Early Saturday morning, the sun was just rising over the crest of our hill where my house sits. The sun was shining bright as a spotlight into the bedroom window. Moving my arm across my eyes covering the sun while slowly opening my eyes wide open, the first thing that came to mind was a dragonfly, a big bright beautiful dragonfly of multicolor. Was it a dream or a memory? Quickly my mind was flooded with thoughts of today’s big birthday party.
Moving swiftly out of bed, I started heading for the bathroom. Today was a big day; It was my great-grand-son birthday and his older sister’s birthday as well.
My voice echoed through the house humming while walking to the bathroom having already picked out a colorful top and white jeans and carefully laying them out the night before. Turning on the shower and waiting for the water to be just right, I stepped into the water letting the hot water flood my body. The water was so delicious, I continued to hum, not wanting to turn off the cascading water, thinking about the dragonfly.
Finally forcing myself to turn the water off, I grabbed the towel wrapping it around me. The towel swallowed my small frame. I was careful not to step on the towel while stepping out.
Dancing into the bedroom, I finished drying off, and draped my wet towel over the brown hamper. A memory of buying the hamper in Deming, New Mexico crossed my mind for a short second. Silly how those kinds of thoughts can pop up out of nowhere. We have
