Shipping container homes may seem amazing so far, but there definitely are some negatives.

Firstly, shipping containers are made entirely out of steel. Depending on your climate, this could pose a bit of a challenge as metal is an excellent conductor of heat. If you build in an area where daily temperatures are at high levels, the experience won’t be ideal. On the contrary, when used in areas where temperatures tend to fall quite fast, the container can also become extremely cold in a short period of time.
