About this ebook
Kathy P. Hall
Dr. Kathy Hall, as a former teacher and assistant principal, was the first African-American, newly appointed principal to open a new school in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina. Three years later, as a central office administrator, she led Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' truancy and dropout prevention efforts by successfully implementing several effective programs that reduced the rate of school truancy and dropouts. She also worked in Rock Hill Schools' York County District in South Carolina. Upon retiring, she founded Hall's Consulting and Publishing Ent., focusing on writing, publishing, and motivational speaking. She has an MAED in English and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has a doctorate in Christian Education and Leadership from Logos University in Jacksonville, Florida. As part of her business goals, she contracted with Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and taught writing and research methods to students. Kathy has presented for churches, schools, and non-profit organizations and seeks ways to help others prosper in their personal and professional endeavors. She currently resides in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina with her husband, Trent. She has three adult children, Breece, Bradley and Whitney, one daughter-in-law, Crystal, and four grandsons. Kathy's philosophy of life is based on Micah 6:8 of the Bible as she often states, "God only requires three things of us, which are to be just, love mercy and walk humbly with Him." A children's book by Kathy, The Wise King's Christmas is on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and Kindle websites.

The Visit
Somewhere in time, in a land far away, there was a very wise king who decided to satisfy his curiosity about the habits of the common people. It was December 17th, a week before Christmas, when he decided to go into town and see how the common people lived on a day to day basis.
