The Ultimate Startup Success Guide For Small Businesses - Eric C.J. Williams
STEP 1
Want, know, learn and sell.
Grab that paper and divide it into three columns.
On the first one, start writing down some ideas on what you want to do:
- Anything you feel like doing right now.
- What you felt like doing last week when you were bored.
- Write down that dream that you’ve always had.
- Think about when you’re home, what do you feel like doing?
- What do you want to work with?
On the second column, list everything you know how to do or can learn:
- What interests you?
- What do you like reading?
- What are your talents?
- What are your hobbies?
- What do you have knowledge in?
- What do people ask you for help or advice with?
On the third column you’re going to write anything profitable:
- What talents do you have that others ask for help with that you can sell?
- What do you do that others need?
- What talents from the second column can you sell?
- What things from the first column can you get money with?
Your goal here is to relate the things you want to do (first column) and the things that you can do or have a talent with (second column) with the things that you can actually get money with (third column).
If you can balance what you can do with what you want to do, it shouldn’t be hard to find someone that pays for
