James R. Coggins
James R. Coggins is a professional writer and editor based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. He has BA and MA degrees from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, a Diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, and a PhD (in History) from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. He has served as an editor with Christian magazines (Mennonite Brethren Herald, BC Christian News and The Light) and written a wide variety of materials, including devotional articles, academic articles, encyclopedia entries, social and political analyses, poetry, blogs and even a few jokes for Reader's Digest. His previous books include four John Smyth murder mysteries, a political novel, and his doctoral dissertation (on the first English Baptist congregation).
