    The Christmas Window

    Silver flew as fast as the wind through the snowy sky. Mounted on Wonder’s back, the snow fairy loved the feel of the wind blowing through her silvery hair. True to her name, the vibrant fairy was silver from head to foot and sparkled like the icicles that hung from the wintry trees.

    Wonder, her unicorn, was as silvery and beautiful as she, while Winn, Silver’s little wolf cub sat upon her shoulder, his silvery white coat rippling in the wind. His long snowy tail he wrapped snugly around the snow fairy.

    However, today, Silver was more than a little put out. A pair of mischievous young elves who loved to play pranks had stolen her magic Christmas bell and ran off with it. At this time of year, Silver was very busy helping Santa Claus with his Christmas preparations but now had to interrupt them to chase the pesky elves. She was truly annoyed.

     Brushing her silvery sparkling hair out of her face, the snow fairy brought Wonder to a halt in mid-air. Raising her delicate hand, she summoned the magical Christmas window which appeared before her. I must find those pesky elves! she exclaimed. Even Santa told me that Nicky and Mickey were so busy playing pranks on everyone that they neglected their Christmas duties. He took them off the good elves list and put them right on the naughty elves list! Winn’s bright blue eyes gazed at her as if in agreement about the naughty elves.

    Peering through the window, a snowy scene appeared. Silver searched the ground below for any sign of the pranksters. Suddenly she spotted a small form kneeling on the ground, far below her. A little girl, head bent, was digging in the cold icy snow.

    Down, Wonder! the snow fairy commanded. Wonder snorted and headed downwards at great speed. Seconds later, the unicorn stopped a few feet above the ground, and hovered. They watched with interest as the small
