I would like to thank each coauthor who took the time to partner with me and share a piece of themselves with the world. Thank you for pouring your hearts out in your chapters and for being transparent and walking in your truth. I am overjoyed, and my heart is overflowing with so much compassion, because you pressed forward in your dreams and aided with this assignment that had been placed on my heart. And for that I say thank you; peace.
Words of Encouragement
May God’s Grace continue to be with you! My heart is so excited about what God has in store for you and for me! To God I give all honor and praise for the words that He has placed into my hands as I write my thirty-first book. I pray that you will open up your heart and receive what God has to say especially to you. Whatever you’re going through, you must trust Him and know that He is speaking directly to you in that area you need deliverance in. There is a word in due season in this book for you, because God’s loving hand has directed my heart, mind, and spirit. I pray that this book will strengthen your heart so that you can find a greater love from my Heavenly Father as you walk in your spiritual journey. I encourage you to read and meditate on God’s Word daily to come to a closer walk with Him. This book is about a journey to wholeness and self-awareness of the God in you. God has set you apart and predestined you to become conformed to the image of His Son. God wants you to know that even in your seasons of uncertainty you have to live through it, laugh through it, love through it, and move forward. So, STAND up, RISE up, and WALK IN YOUR AUTHORITY as God moves you to your next level!

CHAPTER ONE
Supernatural Favor
Sonja Prince-Ward
I was diagnosed at thirteen. I won’t tell you what exactly I was diagnosed with, because I hate labels. Even back then, I never wanted to be labeled. I wouldn’t take my medication properly because it was a reminder to me that I was different. Who wants to be different? It’s hard enough as it is just to be thirteen. I decided then that I would have to be the best at everything. I had to be the most popular, most fun, most successful person in the room because I never wanted to be labeled. After all, I wanted people to see me and say, there’s Sonja, she’s smart,
or she’s pretty,
or she’s popular,
or she’s successful,
not she’s her diagnosis.
That’s it. I couldn’t handle the diagnosis, even though I couldn’t fight it or deny it either.
I wouldn’t take my medicine like I was supposed to; as soon as I started feeling better, I would stop taking it. Then I would have an episode.
These episodes were severe. I couldn’t just start taking my meds again after an episode, either; I would have to be hospitalized. Restrained, even. You see, this particular label is nothing to be played with. I wish more people were educated about this sort of thing, but in my community, it’s frowned upon, to say the least. So, I decided to keep my secret to myself. And on the rare occasions that I was well, I would do better and be better than everyone else.
I spent a lot of time in the hospital. I remember my very first visit; I was in there with a lot of rich white kids and we had a ball. Apparently, what I had was pretty common in other communities. Because my episodes were severe, I would often have to be isolated. I was out of control. Really strong physically, too. My cousins still tease me about how I used to break spoons when I had an episode. It was the craziest thing; I couldn’t do it unless I
