Sit Your Way to Success is a must-read for any leader, trainer, consultant, salesperson, and even host/hostess! While some of this may be intuitive, especially for those of us who have been around for a while, it's the nuances we don't know that could significantly impact the outcome of a meeting or event. I'm either going to memorize the book, or make sure I consult it before every important sales meeting and presentation - or both!!!

About the Author
Introduction
This book will benefit you if you are in sales, conduct or participate in meetings, attend trainings, or present to an audience.
Most meetings and interactions take place when we are seated at a table, an event, or presentation. Where you sit in relation to others in these meetings influences the outcome, yet most of us don't consciously make a calculated choice.
Being in corporate sales for over 30 years, I've attended hundreds of meetings, most of which included a table or desk of some type. In the beginning of my career, I would randomly select a seat, typically the one closest to the door or where my client would suggest, not knowing at the time that utilizing the right seating arrangement could help in closing the sale.
I hadn't stopped to think about seating arrangements specifically until I came across some research on the psychology of learning as it applies to room layouts. The more I discovered, the clearer it became that where one sits has an impact on the result of the meeting. I thought about all my past meetings, and the ones that were most successful were typically at a small meeting table where the meeting seemed more relaxed, the conversation flowed easily, and the sale seemed to come naturally.
During my 30-year career selling furniture to companies of all sizes, I have designed and installed conference and /or meeting rooms in almost every facility. Designing the layout of the space includes specifying the shape of the table or desk and how it's situated in the room. In my early years as a trained Interior Designer, my approach was functional and aesthetic. Gradually, I began to understand the psychology of seating arrangements, and am now able to incorporate this invaluable information in my designs.
With this book, you will understand where and why you choose your seat and that choosing the right seat helps you reach your intended goal, whether it's to close a sale, lead a meeting, teach others, or have a great conversation. The simple act of taking a seat at the table can predetermine your outcome.
The research and information I share are compiled and organized to be used as a reference book. You can pick it up and easily understand the information and begin to apply
