We do not know where we came from, or where we are going. The reality of this is daunting. In this dimension (on earth), as a human being with consciousness, we ask questions about our existence. Looking to the sky, we realize we are a tiny speck within a massive cosmos. Many people would rather not think too deeply about existence because it is overwhelming.

Others cannot stop seeking answers to these questions. We seek answers in science because it gives us hard facts. We seek answers in logic because it satisfies the linear brain. But, pure, logical science is not completely satisfying. Instinctively, we know there is something more. The question of a deeper spiritual meaning to life and the notion of a creator, commonly referred to as God arises. How do we unify pure science with the mystical to arrive at an answer that makes sense of it all? How do we place our individual lives within this giant matrix in a way that satisfies us to the extent that we know we belong and that our life has meaning and purpose? What about looking beyond science and logic into the world of the ancient, mystical, sacred, and secret texts for answers that are not found in linear scientific logic, but rather in a logic of the metaphysical? What if there were answers that combined science and physics with that which is beyond physics, metaphysics?

Everything in the universe is energy. All that we can sense, hear, feel, touch and see is energy. Energy creates itself in different forms. The form that energy creates is based on its energetic frequency. Energy translates into frequency. Frequency can be identified through sound, shape, color, taste, touch, and feelings. Everything in our universe is energy translated into frequency. Every creation, based on its particular energetic makeup, is created with a specific frequency. Frequency is the underlying matrix that turns energy into form, including you. The energetic matrix that creates the foundation of any given thing, animate or inanimate, creates a vibrational frequency that is emitted through light and sound. This includes planets, our bodies, minerals, food and, well, everything.

Great sages known as, Rishis, channeled the Vedas (Sanskrit Veda वेद, knowledge), in the language of Sanskrit transferred from generation to generation by the process of learning and memorization. It quickly becomes apparent that the Rishis where much more intelligent and evolved than beings in our current age. The information is rich, complex, and stunningly beautiful. The words, sounds, and concepts are of a level of sophistication unparalleled in any other culture. No one knows precisely how old this most advanced pristine metaphysical body of knowledge is, but what is very clear is that the information is timeless.

My journey to the Vedas came through three different routes - Yoga (meditation and personal development), Ayurveda (the science of health, healing), and Jyotisha (the science of light, astrology), but Jyotisha has grabbed my attention like no other. As a typical westerner, I was not even aware of Vedic

astrology or Jyotisha when I passed my rigors exams for a diploma in western astrology from the Astrological Faculty of England in 1987. Even after 10 years as a western astrologer, no obvious Vedic astrology appeared on my path. This is changing now, with many young yogi’s and yogini’s coming to Vedic astrology directly. Thank God! In fact, my personal mission is to make sure that movement increases exponentially during my lifetime.

All three of these ancient studies that are experiencing a wave of expansion in North America have their source in the Vedas. For many great scholars and thinkers over time, the sophisticated beauty of the Vedas is unsurpassed. Herman Hess, Mark Twain, Schrödinger, Einstein, Emerson, and Tesla were all Vedantists. Einstein was a great friend of the scholar and poet Tagore. Imagine their discussions!
