Grant N Perryman
Author, Grant N. Perryman, takes you back to the energetic West African country of Ghana with his second illustrated children's book. The idea for this modern-day folktale came to him while sitting on the airplane leaving Ghana on his 6th short-term mission trip. Mr. Perryman is the Executive Director of Meaningful Life USA, Inc, a Christian 501c (3) nonprofit that provides funding for the sister agency, Meaningful Life International, an NGO, located in the port harbor city of Tema. Meaningful Life's vision to the rural communities includes freshwater wells, medical outreach, church planting, and leadership training. His first book, Ama's Dream, speaks to the organizational first three goals of drilling boreholes (water wells), mobile medical services, and evangelism. His second book, Sika Ahenfo deals with the fourth objective of leadership. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, with his lovely wife. She has made the journey to Ghana on several occasions. They were married on March 6, Ghana's Independence Day, incorporating many elements of the Akan culture into their wedding ceremony. He has four adult children and one grandchild.

About the Author
Chapter One
Ti Baako
"A ma ( Ah-mah ), it’s time to get up," whispered Adjo ( A-joe ), Ama’s mother.
Ama rubbed her tired eyes and moaned, It’s unfair for my day to begin while the sun still sleeps.
Ama forced herself to sit up on her bed of straw while opening her sleeping eyes. She stared into the darkness as she placed her feet on the cool, mud floor of her family’s home. It was time to begin the many chores that came with being the oldest female in the family of five younger brothers.
