Jeff Woolwine is a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, living near South Mountain. Since the spring of 2004, Jeff has experienced many UFO sightings and has video taped most of his experiences. Jeff, a native to Arizona, is a man on a mission, with the intent of trying to solve the ongoing mystery of the Phoenix Lights. In this interview will cover Jeff's background, his research efforts, his experiences with the media in Phoenix, his recent sightings, and what Jeff thinks is behind these repeated appearances of UFOs in the Phoenix area. From Jeff, "I have been watching the Phoenix Lights since June 2004. I have determined that not only are the lights here, but that they appear to be tracked by the government. I have done several TV News interviews with Phoenix TV stations talking about flares and the lights. I have also found evidence that people living in this are 1500 years ago saw the lights as well. There are drawings all over Phoenix's South Mountain that show the lights and the geo-magnetic lines that are associated with fault lines, which may be used by the UFOs to absorb energy to power themselves - sort of like a gas station for UFOs. I have studied UFOs for years. I am out to prove that they are here and have never left us. Thousands of years ago, people left hieroglyphics and petroglyphs and documents such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and parts of the Bible showing evidence of UFOs and ETs. It seems like every time UFOs show up, something happens to the Earth. In my opinion, things are going to change our way of life very soon, and that is why the UFOs are here more than ever - to watch before and after". Jeff continues to capture videos of UFOs near South Mountain and is investigating the apparent connection between the UFOs he sees and the ancient petroglyphs that cover the rocks on South Mountain.

    HISTORY SET IN STONE

It was said that in 1539, Fr. Marcos De Niza came into this valley now known as Phoenix, Arizona and took formal possession of a mountain now known as South Mountain. He found the ancestors of present Indian tribes living on outskirts of the land and saw the ruins from a great Stone Age civilization within the valley. He saw a vast irrigation system that today is all dried up and filed with desert dirt and ruin cities of many dwellings built from the first great central pueblos. All had been laid flat and reduced to mounds, as though hit by the blast of a super hurricane or massive flood.

Numberless stone hoes and pottery laid where they were last used. Native Mano and Metate stones used for grinding corn, bloodstained axes and knives, that were carved out of stone, for sacred and special uses now lay in the dirt for hundreds of years without being disturbed. The tribal people had abandoned their villages marked by stoneware, pottery, and spots where Hogan mud brick houses once had stood along with round kivas on the ground. Mountains are seen surrounding this land. These mountains are set in time as a witness to what had happened to this once mighty race. A nation that had vanished without any preparation. They simply disappeared and left everything where it could be found today. Rumors are often told about the sacrifice and worship that had taken place in this valley. Evidence of a big and mighty race who first walked on this land can be seen throughout the landscape. Big stone boulders were made into alters. These alters, many tons in weight, were stacked on top of each other while stains from human blood can be seen running down the sides of the rock. Pictures stories can be found carved on the mountain’s walls. These murals are forever showing testimony of what had happened there. There were massive irrigation canals, miles in length, extending eastward eighteen miles, west fifteen miles, north five miles, and south ten miles. Sometimes cutting through solid rock. This irrigations system truly tells a story of a many centuries of hard labor and the deep conception of thought by controlling the flow of water in this dry valley. At that time, it was the most advanced irrigation system in the world. The mountain to the south was said to be sacred and not to be disturbed. Its name was originally, Suappoa meaning Mountain of Mercy.

Sacred ceremonies had taken place on this mountain as many different tribes of people came to this mountain from miles around from distant lands for trade and for worship. The region east of Mount Suappoa was the area mostly populated and at the base of the east side of the mountain were burial grounds along with the Indian drawings depicting human sacrifice and worship.

The people who first came to this valley were said to have come from the far southern part of Mexico, in what is known as the Yucatan, in 300 B.C. They had kept in contact with Mexico while they lived in the valley desert floor. When disaster almost destroyed all of them, the remaining who survived returned to their fatherland and they never returned. From the story of Exodus and til this day bits of stories still can be heard. Many talk about the City of Gold that once was said to be here in this valley. Vast in size and in numbers and huge in weight. This gold was kept by the priests of the tribespeople in carved out stone caves throughout Mount Suappoa. It was buried and left there by the original people who are now gone. The priests who felt responsible for the great disaster sacrificed themselves to the sun god while the tribespeople who survived this disaster filled in the all the caves entrances with the gold still inside and left this land. They fled in fear saying, A curse be in that valley and whoever lives there would once again see its mighty wrath from the spirits of the earth and air. The tribe’s people never return but some say that the Mayans who had once lived here and will come back one day to claim what has been hidden there for thousands of years. The spirits of the earth and air have been protecting it all this time. Rumors were told about the mountains around this valley. They are often stated to have time capsules hidden inside them and that one day they will be opened again to bringing the past to the future so that history shall once again repeat itself.

It was heard through distant winds, that this valley now called Phoenix Arizona was part of the Seven Cities of Cibola and that it was once full of gold. Fray Marcos De Niza at that time, had been sent by the King of Spain to find the gold and to spread his Catholic belief to this valley. When he arrived, he had noticed that water had destroyed this land thousands of years before and then destroyed the land again four hundred years later by the fall of a great meteor that hit the earth one hundred and eighty miles north of this valley. The tribal people who once lived here was said to be the Mayans and the Hohokam and some say also could have also held the Anasazi or Anunnaki Indians and now, other tribes less progressive, occupied this land and one is called the Pimas Tohono O’odham Tribe. It was said that they are the ancestors of the former people are now known as the Hohokam. A Pima name meaning, The people who are gone or The people who got taken away.

Although De Niza found no gold in this valley, there was a specific reason for his search. Great stores of gold cities were told, one in Peru, one in Mexico, and there were rumors of others in distant lands and one spot was said to be in the valley of the Suappoa Mountains. De Niza was said to have been with Pizarro in Peru when that conquistador plundered the Incas with ships filled with men and took the land of pure gold. It was also said that he was also with Cortez in Mexico when he plundered the Mayans and Aztecs with other shiploads. By that time, the Indian hatred had been raised but the gold was safely hidden and its secret was never to be disclosed.

Bits of tradition and stories are still being told to this day. Somewhere in the distant lands are Indians tribes who still say the ancient secret words that tell where the secret Mayan gold is buried. Some see the spirits in the sky and understand their meaning while others run and hide from what they had witnessed in the sky.

There are also stories that talk about the mystery of where the Lost golden cities once were and what happened to its people. South Mountain Mayan tradition says this mountain guards a great store of Indian gold. The gold that De Niza could not find but still lies there today. There are lights that you can see from time to time in the sky and on this holy mountain of Suappoa. The lights in the sky shines like coals at night while in the daytime they take many different shapes. They come and go from one mountain to the other as they watch and wait for the Mayans return. These living spirits of the earth and air were the gods of the old and the living spirits of the air demanded human sacrifice and worship while they feed off the mountains underworld energy that surrounds this land.

Today there is a new city where the Mayans and Hohokam had lived long ago in the valley surrounded by mountains. This city arose from the ashes of the people from the past who vanished with no trace. The people living today have built on top of the history from what had been once a mighty civilization. The people of today made canals parallel to the Hohokam’s canals and made them longer in length. Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa all stand now where the Mayan and Hohokam cities once stood. To this day, people still use the Hohokam canal system for water. Never will they understand the history of this valley surrounded by the mountains that were witness to the former people who were taken away by the spirits of the earth and air.

The society living on this desert floor now are seeing and reporting strange anomalies in their skies, red lights, and flying objects not recognizable to the people who live there today. What happened to the first civilization who lived in this valley and where did they go? Is there a curse within his valley of the sun? What are the people of today seeing in the Phoenix skies? Do the red lights and flying anomalies in the air have anything to do with what had happened to the first people who lived in this desert and were never heard from again? Do the petroglyphs on the mountains around this land reveal the story and
