Robert Iturralde was a proud member of the United States Air Force and has been researching UFOs since 1987. The year when, by accident, he found a book about UFOs in a flea market. After reading the book, he went to the New York Times to check the reports of hundreds of witnesses; shockingly the reports were based in real eyewit- ness sightings. I n my previous book The UFO Phenomenon and the Birth of the Jewish, Christian, and Moslem Religions I postulate the theory that the intelligence behind the UFO phenomenon is responsible for the origin of religions and the supernatural phenomenon. In this book I explain with more details the connection between the UFO phenomenon and the religious and supernatural phenomenon.

UFOS have been seen since the beginning of human history, but they have appeared in the forms of ghosts, gods, and supernatural or religious phenomenon. So throughout human history, people had believed that the devil or God were behind these phenomenon although in the twentieth and twenty-first century reliable witnesses like police officers, military personnel, senators, and movie stars had reported UFOs. In China one hundred thousand people died annually in traffic accidents. A plate for the car that ends in 4 is considered a bad omen. For a driver that is superstitious, it might mean death. The number 8 is believed to mean good fortune. A Chinese businessman paid $35,000 for a plate number with 8’s for good fortune.

In another event, a Chinese airline paid about $300,000 for a telephone number with the luckiest number 8888-8888. Parents refused to let their children ride taxis with unlucky numbers in the license plates. So it is obvious to the reader that superstition is a believed without any foundation. On the other hand, the UFO belief is based in millions of sightings since the beginning of human history. Interestingly, the alien presence has been with humankind for thousands of years but has appeared in different forms. For example, the UFO reality has appeared in the form of religious miracles, ghosts, hauntings, poltergeists, bizarre wildlife, angels, devils, etc. As a result religion, folklores, legends, and myths have been born. Furthermore, the reason there are so many unsolved mysteries is because nobody wants to take into account the UFO phenomenon. Moreover, now in the twenty-first century, modern science and technology can help us to solve the puzzle of the UFO phenomenon mystery.

Even so, human science is at the door of a new age with the most fantastic discoveries; the UFO phenomenon is beyond human understanding. For instance, we humans have nothing in physics or biology in which to compare the UFO phenomenon. For example, everything we know about the evolution of life is valid only in our universe.

All our knowledge about the genome, DNA, and life-forms that are carbon based is not applicable for the study of the UFO phenomenon. The UFO phenomenon or nature—whatever it is—has properties not present in life as we know it. For example, the UFO phenomenon can make their ships and themselves invisible. My question is, what kind of nature is the life from which the UFO phenomenon originated with the property of making themselves invisible? Furthermore, physics probably can give us clues about the nature of the UFO phenomenon because it seems that alien entities and their ships leave radioactivity in the places that they appear. I think is very important for science to study the UFO phenomenon because the destiny of humankind is unfortunately connected to the UFO phenomenon through religion, especially the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religions.

CHAPTER 1

Physics and the UFO Phenomenon

What does it mean for a civilization to be a million years old? We have had radio Telescopes and spaceships for a few decades; Our technical civilization is a few hundred years old. An advanced civilization millions of years old is as much beyond us, as we are beyond a bush baby or macaque.

Controlling the super force would enable us to construct and transmute particles at will thus generating exotic forms of matter. We might even be able to manipulate the dimensionality of space itself creating bizarre worlds with unimaginable properties. Truly we should be lords of the universe.

T he conservation laws are the basic laws of nature as we know it in our universe. For example, the laws of conservation of momentum when two bodies push each other apart, the weight times always equals the final velocity of the other. Furthermore, the weight of a body varies from planet to planet, universe to universe, and time—space dimension. Moreover, mass is independent of space and time; two bodies that are identical in weight under a determined gravitational force are similar in mass. Similarly another term used by science to name mass is inertia .

For instance, when two bodies of mass, M1 and M2, are pulled or pushed apart by force, their final velocities are related. Also, it tells us that if we know one mass and we measure the velocities of the two objects, we can calculate the other mass. After all, one important question is, what is mass? The great Sir Isaac Newton wrote that mass is the amount of matter in a body. Now how do we measure? For example, bodies gain momentum with the application of force. A rocket push against its exhaust gases.

Although physics is a beautiful human science, how can it explain the UFO phenomenon if it became invisible? Likewise Newton’s three laws of motion are as follows: (1) His first law said that to change a body’s momentum or direction of motion, an outside force must be applied. (2) The second law states that the change is directly proportional to the force and the time applied. (3) The third law states that reaction is always equal and opposite to action.

Certainly, the laws of physics explain our universe, but how can it explain the UFO phenomenon? For instance, UFOs had been tracked at speeds from zero to thirty thousand miles, accelerating from hovering stationary positions. Moreover, UFOs had been seen descending like a falling leaf. Interestingly, after a UFO sighting and landing, investigators test the ground and found radioactivity and indented by a weight of forty to fifty tons. So the question is, how does a spaceship that weights forty to fifty tons descended like a falling leaf?

Furthermore, air force pilots had reported that UFOs make impossible right turns. UFOS had been seen in collision course with planes, ending in dead stop. UFOS do not create sonic boom. Usually when UFOs land, radioactivity is high in the ground, and trees are carbonized and turned to stone, although sometimes the vegetation grows abnormally high. In our universe, physical objects travel through space and time. On the other hand, UFOs don’t travel in space and time; they just appear in our space and time, which raises the possibility that they are interdimensional. Modern physics with diverse theories like the string theory, parallel universes, and the inflationary universe gives us the possibility that we live in a universe of more than ten dimensions. In another interesting event in July 1947 in Idaho, ten people reported a landing of a fleet of eight UFOs in a mountainside near St. Maries, Idaho; a dishwasher, a housewife, and nine other people reported that the UFOs came at extreme speed, suddenly slowed, and then fluttered like leaves to the ground. The witness said, The mysterious part was that we couldn’t see them after they landed. We could see them flutter down into the timber, yet we couldn’t see that they did anything to the trees.

UFOS materialize and dematerialize like in a case in the winter of 1952 in Sweden; six witnesses saw a disc-shaped object about the size of the full moon. The witness said, It just went out like a light and turned off. Furthermore, UFOs appear like a misty cloud as seen in the religious phenomenon, like Fátima, and the cloud that guided Moses. Moreover, the nature of light is another wonder of nature that fascinates human beings. Scientists believed that a beam of light is a form of energy that appears in waves or particles.

Although matter and energy are the same reality, when a body gets more energy, it gets more mass. Also, there are other types of energy like electrical and chemical. All these types of energy are forms of the kinetic energy. Furthermore, in every physical change, a conversion of energy from one form to another takes place. Similarly, every elementary particle has a rest-mass, which is a quantity, and any change of mass is the result of adding or subtracting energy. In addition, elementary particles change from one form to another.

For example, an electron and a positron form two photons or units of radiation, and light may be spread out over a region of space, which means that a photon has range of energies and a momentum. Shockingly, UFO abductees had reported balls of light that transform into aliens and humans. My question is, what kind of life is the UFO phenomenon that can transform from balls of energy into a full being? Moreover, UFOs projected a beam of light that penetrated walls, houses, forest, water, and every kind of solid matter. For instance, in one incident, a witness reported a UFO that projected a beam of light along a river leaving behind a trail of luminescence on the surface. The trail gradually faded away. Furthermore, in the spring of 1975, a witness described a beam of light coming from a UFO as hyphenated, traveling in bursts or pulses. Once the light hit the water, it spread out on the surface and moved toward the shore still broken in patches.

On March 1977, a UFO came down over a truck and lit up the sky. The light seemed to flow out of the UFO and expanded like a billowing cloud until the whole area gradually filled with light like cream spreading as it is poured into a cup of coffee. In another event in 1981, two hunters in the Amazon’s town of Monte Alegre claimed that a UFO projected a beam of light at them and imprisoned them inside the cone of light. The hunters tried to break out, but the cone of light was an impenetrable wall. Moreover, in another event in 1976, a witness in Colusa, California, was watching television late at night. Suddenly the television and air conditioner stopped working. The witness stepped outside to check what was the cause of the electrical problem.

As he did, he felt all his hair on his body stand up; looking up, he saw a large circular object hovering silently above his house, and a beam of light came down and stopped in midair. In 1979, a store clerk claimed an object as big as a car shined a beam of light that was straight and narrow like a pipe, but halfway to the ground the beam of light flared out like a flashlight. Suddenly a small entity appeared in the beam of light. Likewise on March 1955, in Paris, Illinois, a witness claimed to have seen a plane pursued by a huge bell-shaped UFO that swallowed the plane. The witness claimed that a big hatchway had opened and engulfed the plane. Interestingly during the great waves of UFOs, 30 percent of sightings occurred over missile ranges like White Sands, Alamos, etc. Furthermore, I think the intelligence behind the UFO phenomenon has transcended the problem of quantum teleportation; that is the reason they appear anywhere in the universe. Moreover, the alien light has extraordinary superpowers. For example, at the tomb of Saint Charbel Makhlouf, a light glowed brightly for forty-five nights after the brothers found his body incorrupted.

After all the intelligence behind the UFO phenomenon, it seems it is still beyond our science and understanding; physics has the tools to investigate and research this phenomenon. Also, I will say that physics can find the nature of the UFO phenomenon. For instance, the UFO intelligence can appear in the form of a mist like in the following case. One summer afternoon in 1945, two American soldiers named Sergeant Utz and Lieutenant Ernest G. Bently made a report. The soldiers were in the area where trees had been cut for fuel, and next it was another area with trees. The soldiers were walking in the area when a group of children told them to stop. At the same time, a woman passed the soldiers and the children. The children called her, but she wanted to collect wood. As the soldiers watched, the woman disappeared in the rocks. Moments later the soldiers heard a terrifying scream, and she was running back. The soldiers watched with horror a translucent, dull, cloudy mist without shape. The soldiers fired a few shots into the mist without results. The woman entered the rocks with the mist behind. A moment later, a spine chilling shriek was heard. The woman was never seen again.

CHAPTER 2

Charles Darwin, the Origin of Life,

and the UFO Phenomenon

Probably all the organic beings which have ever lived on this Earth have descended from someone primordial form into which life was first breathed. There is grandeur in the view of life that whilst this planet. Has gone cycling on according to the fixed laws of gravity. From so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.

Humans are frighteningly efficient predators. They impose mortality in special ways, at particular stages of the life cycle. If we believed that natural selection has shaped the life history and characteristics of a species, then we have to believe that a different regime will affect life history.

T he intelligence behind the UFO phenomenon appeared in human form to Abraham. Abraham was ninety-nine years old and was sitting outside his house. He did not see when he lifted his eyes, even though he was gazing out. Suddenly three human like beings appeared stationed upon him. Although they look like humans, Abraham called one of them Lord. So Abraham invited them to his house to eat and rest.

On April 22,1897, an oblong machine with wings and lights that appeared much brighter than normal electrical lights landed in John Barclay’s farm. Barclay grabbed his rifle and walked to the machine, where he was met by an ordinary-looking man, who handed him a $10 bill. The stranger asked Barclay to buy oil and tools for the airship. Who are you? Barclay asked the man. The stranger answered, Never mind about my name call it Smith. The strange travelers often claimed to come from known villages and cities, and they knew the names of prominent citizens in those cities. Shockingly, when reporters checked their identities, they can’t find any record of them in those cities’ birth certificates or death certificates.

On Sunday, November 27, 1966, about 10:30 AM, a witness was driving home from church; suddenly a huge gray figure shaped like a man appeared in the middle of the road. The humanlike monster was close to seven feet tall, with broad shoulders. The eyes were glowing red and were large and round. A pair of wings unfolded from the back, and they seem to have an span of ten feet. After, the creature followed the car of the witness at over one hundred miles per hour but didn’t flap its wings. Over one hundred people saw the creature in New Haven, West Virginia, and it was called the Mothman. Obviously, Charles Darwin is one of the greatest mind and pioneer in the history of human kind. The discovery that every living organism follows a process of evolution had changed our perspective of our place in the universe. Shockingly, the science of evolution after 150 years is still some kind of taboo in some schools in the United States. The situation is not different than when in 1925, a biology teacher name John T. Scopes went to trial for teaching evolution and violating a Tennessee law that forbade the teaching in public schools of any concept that contradicts the teachings of the Bible.

Interestingly, now in 2008, the religious right had challenged the theory of evolution with a theory called intelligent design, which postulated that life evolve or began by the action of a being or something that started life on the planet. Furthermore, scientists believed that the following requirements are necessary for life to evolve: (1) the formation of the simplest organic compounds, (2) the transformation of these into more complex organic compounds, (3) the origin of the key life chemicals such as proteins and nucleoacids, (4) the origin of structures and metabolism energy producing chemistry, (5) the evolution of metabolism.

Moreover, there are three basic ways that organic compounds might have been synthesized by radiation, lightning, or heat. As a result, the outcome of life is an absolute contingent event. Likewise, what are the characteristics of living matter? What are the features that distinguish living from nonliving matter? Science postulated four criterion for the definition of life: (1) metabolism, which includes both the building up (anabolism) and the destruction (catabolism) of protoplasm; (2) the persistence of irritability and motility—that is, the ability to respond to stimuli and to move with respect to it; (3) the ability of a system to maintain itself in a steady state and make repairs of sorts in its own structure; (4) the ability of a system to generate other systems of its kind. Interestingly, all these properties have similarities with structures believed to be nonliving. The main constituent of protoplasm protein has been synthesized from laboratory chemicals. Furthermore all these are experiments in which supermolecules are built up from atoms and simpler molecules.

Also, anabolism, the constructive phase of metabolism, and catabolism, the breaking down of large molecules, are a common events in the laboratory. Irritability and motility takes place in many organisms; this is a description of the ability of nonliving matter to reproduce itself. Crystals reproduce themselves as do viruses. The physical chemical structure of living organisms must be continuously sustained by energy in the form of food or energy. In addition, there are few theories about the origin of life here on Earth. The theory of panspermia postulated that the basic chemicals of life came from space, probably from meteorites because meteorites carry the basic amino acids for the creation of life. As a matter of fact, in 1849 Andrew Crosse synthesized an organism by the action of electricity on a porous stone soaked with hydrochloric acid and potassium silicate.

The organism created was named Arcarus Electricus and was shown in H. M. Noad’s lectures in 1849. By the same token, a University of Arizona researcher recently found that a phosphorus mineral in meteorites yields a component of nucleic acids when mixed with water. Furthermore, in January 24, 2008, scientists announced that they had reconstituted the complete set of genes for a microbe using just a few bottles of chemicals. I believed this is a great step for science and synthetic biology to create living organisms from inert matter. Moreover, reporting in the Journal of Science, Dr. J. Craig Venter and his colleagues reported the creation of the entire DNA chain of a microbial parasite called mycoplasma-genitalium. Dr. Venter said that the entire synthetic organism will act like a natural-born M. genital minus the capacity to infect the delicate tissues that explain the parasites surname. In fact, scientists want to learn the power of custom-design organisms that will supply us with cheap gasoline. Microbes have been found to survive and even thrive in places where it is extremely cold and hot. Some microorganisms can survive in a strong acid or base solution that if you put your finger, the skin would dissolve immediately.

Shockingly, there is another organism that can take three million rads of radiation and survive. However, the question is, how can a microbe withstand a blast of radioactivity that is 1,500 times greater than humans? Amazingly, its chromosome get blown apart, but they regroup and start replicating again. Dr. Venter said, My view is that we know 1 percent of what’s out there in the biological universe. Scientists began exploring the water in the oceans, and they found new DNA, the scientists said. From our random sequencing in the oceans, we uncovered six million new genes. Genes that are unlike any yet seen in any of the mammals, reptiles, worms, fish, insects, fungi, or microbes. Researchers believed that the new DNA is microbial in origin, but they have to identify the organisms. Similarly, the thermophilic microbes can withstand temperatures of 238 degrees Fahrenheit above the boiling point of water.

Additionally, on March 2008, scientists discovered the basic ingredients of life as we know it. The basic components like warmth water and organic chemicals are present on Saturn’s small Moon name Enceladus. The scientists described observations made by the Cassini spacecraft, when it flew over the surface of Enceladus on March 12. The scientists said that the buildings blocks for life are there. Moreover, there are geysers that shoot watery plumes some five hundred miles off the icy surface. The scientist believed that there is water vapor, methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and simply organisms like at the beginning of life on planet Earth.

Furthermore, in May 28, 2008, the Phoenix lander had found icelike formations that indicate the possibility of the existence of water in the planet Mars and as a consequence of the existence of life. Moreover, two scientists Cairns and Smith postulate that the origin of life in planet Earth might have began from self-replicating inorganic crystals such as silicates. As a result, DNA must have replaced the inorganic crystals. Cairns and Smith believed that DNA and proteins are two pillars in which life is the end product. The scaffolding most itself have been built by an earlier form of cumulative selection at whose nature we can only guess. But it must have been based upon replicating entities with power over their own future. Their theory postulates that the original replicators of DNA and proteins were crystals of inorganic materials such as found in clays and muds.

A crystal is just a large orderly array of atoms in the solid state. Crystals can replicate; the atoms that surrounds the crystal seem to slot on the surface of the crystal creating more layers in the crystal. Also, crystals formed spontaneously in solutions. The theory is very interesting and makes sense of how life probably began on planet Earth. Interestingly, the major and minor religions mention a supreme being creating humankind from mud. Moreover, in the history of UFOs, there are events that it might come close to the theories mention here. For example, the case of a famous UFO abductee named Betty Andreasson that reported her experience to the great UFO scholar Raymond Fowler. She described a crystal forest in which living creatures appeared to be made or encased in a glass or plasticlike substance. Interestingly, the creatures seemed to be in suspended animation, and everything she touched came to life momentarily and then returned to its former state. In one event, she touched a glasslike butter fly, and it came to life momentarily and flew for a moment, then its colors fade, its form disappeared, and a tiny bright blue-white spark appeared in its place. Furthermore, the tiny spark changed into something that looked like a drop of water, which expanded to reform. In another event on May 10, 1993, the Ukrainian newspaper Vechrniytervopil published an article titled Cosmic Revenge.

The CIA obtained a 250-page file on the attack by a UFO on a military unit in Siberia. According to the military reports, a UFO appeared above a military unit in training. For unknown reasons, the unit launched a surface to air-missile the UFO. The object fell to the ground and five short humanoids with large heads and large black eyes emerged from it. The surviving soldiers’ testimonies said that the aliens, after freeing themselves from the debris, got together and merged into a single object that acquired a spherical shape.

The object buzzed and hissed sharply and then became brilliant white. In a few seconds, the sphere grew larger and exploded by flaring up with an extremely bright light. At that very instant twenty-three soldiers who had watched turned into stone poles! The reports stated that the remains of the UFO and the petrified soldiers were transferred to a secret scientific laboratory. Scientists at the laboratory reported that some kind of energy changed the structure of the organic matter of the soldiers into a substance whose molecular structure was like limestone. We see in this event how an alien technology can change organic matter into limestone. Probably something like that took place at the beginning of life on planet Earth.

Obviously, all these events seemed out of a science-fiction movie. Darwin’s theory of evolution is the only and best explanation about the evolution of life on planet Earth. However, the theory of evolution nor any other human biological theory can explain the UFO phenomenon. For example, in the Book of Enoch, in chapter 17, it said, And they took and brought me to a place in which those who where there, were like flaming fire and when they wished, they appeared as men, and they brought me to the place of darkness and to a mountain. The point of whose summit reached to heavens. Moreover, the Christian mystic Anne Catherine Emmerich wrote, His head is uncovered and his robe long and dazzlingly white like that of a priest. I address him freely, but I can never look him full in the face. I inclined before him. One winter evening in a heavy storm of snow and rain I returned home over the fields to Flamske. I was frightened and I began to cry to God. Suddenly I saw a light like a flame on, before me. It took the form of my guide in his robe. Similarly, W. Y. Evans-Wentz, the great Irish folklorist, mentioned the same phenomenon. He wrote, "Some few weeks before Christmas, in 1910 at midnight on a very dark night, I and another young man were on our way home from Limerick. Near Listowel we noticed a light in some house, but as we came nearer to it and it was passing out of our direct line of vision.

We saw that it was moving up and down to and from, diminishing to a spark, then expanding into a yellow luminous flame about six feet high by four feet broad. In the midst of each flame, we saw a radiant being having a human form. The lights moved toward one another and made contact, whereupon the two beings in them were seen walking side by side. The beings bodies were formed of a pure dazzling radiance, white like the radiance of the Sun and much brighter than the yellow light or aura surrounding them.

So dazzling was the radiance like a halo round their heads, we could not distinguish the countenances of the beings. We could only distinguish the general shape of the bodies, though their heads were very clearly outlined. The halo like radiance which was the brightest light about them, seemed to radiate from or rest upon the head of each being." Similarly, in November 1,1978, a UFO abductee reported that two alien entities turned into balls of light. Hence, it seems to me that some UFO entities appear as pure energy, and they fashion themselves as they expect the witness to see them. However, my question is, what kind of life is the nature of the UFO phenomenon?
