    Charlie the talking Dog

There once was a little dog named Charlie. She loved to watch her owner Emily practice her violin, Charlie’s soft tail would wiggle and sweet Emily would laugh. Charlie is a playful light brown Beagle, floppy eared puppy.

Emily was 11 years old and in fifth grade at Valley-Wood middle school. Every day while Emily was away at school Charlie would go into Emily’s room and sleep on Emily’s bed.

One winter day Charlie sat next to the window and watched Emily and her little brother Jim build a snowman.

    But then SPLAT!

Horrible Beatrice and Nasty Dean [The Trouble Birds] threw a HUGE, cold snowball right at the window which startled Charlie so much that she knocked Emily’s Great-Grandma Georgia’s vase of flowers onto the floor which bounced off Jim’s baseball which hit the fire alarm and made water splash all over Charlie. Emily’s parents burst into the room worried what all the commotion was about.

    ’’Oh my goodness! What happened
